What if we could travel back...

in time in the not too distant future.

I have been talking with a co-worker and we are starting to think that some, not all, ufo's might be us coming back to the past to view certain historic events.

Like the trade center ufo....maybe from the future, you could could buy a ticket and take a trip back to an historic event that maybe was the beginning of a war..

What if we couldn't travel forward in time but could only go back. I recently read on some news site somewhere that they had light going backwards FASTER than the speed of light. What if that is the way our future technology would work?

We would know where to be to not be seen and when to go to see certain things.

It's just an idea we are tossing around. I'd like some opinions on it.

I dont see that possible. I think if people in the future can travel back in time that we have some millions gits that want to see the crucifixion of christ, or the take off of the first plane....

Maybe we should start trading futures for exclusive flights over Los Alamos NM , 1947 now while they are cheap!!!

Maybe we could set up advanced payments for flights to D.C. July , 1952 , with mininal interest!

You'd have to pay a premium for L.A. 1942 , however , seats would be limited.

But on a serious note: i dont think whe can travel back in time but only forward...

Its called Entropy. It's like if you burn a piece of paper, that paper transforms in smoke, ash and heat. Whe cant put the smoke and ash together and make that paper again. Its gone... buried in the past.

I'd have to say I'm very disappointed with the way this was discussed and handled.

I might as well have been talking to 3rd graders. I was looking for some good intelligent conversation as to the "why" and "why not" it would be a feasible theory.

O.k. Fine.

Last year there was a serious theory in a real Scientific Journal that proposed you can go backwards in time , but you can not change things we already know to be true. ( For instance if you know your Father is dead in 1999 , you can not go back to 1998 and convince him not to do what you know will end up killing him in 1999.)

In other words no matter what you can't go back in time and change things , something will always stop you from changing anything. You can according to the theory go back and look all you want.

Edit: Or you might be able to change something you do not know to be true apparently from the theory.

Unfortunately , this means since we all know African Famines have happened , Genocides , and the Holocaust happened there is absolutely nothing we could possibly do to change that. ( But you could always go back in time and plant a tree in a Forest or some such , because you don't know that a tree wasn't planted in the Forest , etc, etc. )
