this is another good pyschotic mental person/zombie movie.

Kathleen Quinlan, who is also in the newest The Hills Have Eyes, played in it.

What about movies like the new Dawn of the Dead in which the virus was caused by a natural outbreak of something possibly caused by pollution? The possiblity that viruses were altered by pollution. Like stated in ealier posts rabies virus could be altered by pollution fallout. The European area took major damages from the Chernobyl disaster. A radioactive fallout could alter the body of a rabies infected animal which could be passed from animal to animal, person to person, animal to person, person to animal. Of course any virus altered naturally or by governments would not result like a movie scenario. You wouldn't need to put rounds in the head of the zombie. You just need to kill them as if they were normal living beings. And, people wouldn't come back from the dead. Thats just to make the movie more interesting. In reality there is no way a virus (viruses KILL) could bring a person or animal to life. I believe and definitely agree that a killer form of rabies would be the most likely disease to ever cause a zombie outbreak if it was to happen.

Or better yet, what about movies like "Shaun of the Dead," where in the end we could round the remaining zombies and use them as a slave labor workforce?

What if a virus has already been introduced into the water supply/food etc, and has spread around the world already but is laying dormant, only waiting for the activator to be introduced at the right time by those that spread the dormant half?
The activator could be in any form. Subliminal tv messages, radio frequency... i dunno.

Hey TOby, I liked your idea about there already being a virus out there. Maybe they put it in the smallpox vaccine or in the flouridation of the water supply. I wonder what it would take to activate it. Maybe a missing protein chain from the virus's DNA that wouldn't be metabolised by the digestive tract and that would only seek out bonding with it's genetic match.
