My opinion is that this is the kind of thing that should not even get through the ATS Bull# Filter for reading in the first place.

Um..the sun exploding in 6 years? Yah..nice try..lol..but...what the hell I'll play along.

Ok..to start..we'll need a bunker the size of Vermont, 60 million gallons of water, 120,000 pounds of meat, 700,000 salads, 15 cows, 2 horses, and one golf cart (so after the event we can drive around)

LOL! Oh that's good. First, this article is more than a year old. Secondly, scientists long-ago calculated the chemical composition of the sun and the rates at which hydrogen is converted to helium. There's enough hydrogen for another 5 billion years.

As far as the internal temperature change, until I see it somewhere else, I don't buy it. There are bound to be fluctuations in the core temperature, but the relative thermal equilibrium has more or less been maintained since the creation of this system. Coronal ejections are part of the thermal balancing processes in the sun.

Granted, some sun spot clusters have merged recently and weve experienced some coronal ejections that peaked in the X-scale, but nothing that would indicate the type of fear-mongering WWN put together here. Now if we start seeing new holes in the ozone, then we could have problems with more X-class flares. But I dont think the sun is going to explode anytime soon. Weve got at least another 5 billion years

No worries. That article is exactly the type of crap that propagates complacency in the ignorant masses. I'm glad to see that the ATS # screeners were quick to the job.

Well..I saw definately 1 thing why it isn't a respectable news source.

At the bottom of the page, there is an ad with a link that is titled : "Girls! New girls added!"

Yah..sure its right..

The sun will die in like 6 billion years. It's life is about halfway over. I think that site makes up news.

We're going to be smashed by another galaxy 2 billion years before the Sun dies. So dont be worrying about the sun first. Worry about the galaxy headed our way at 300 km/s

That site DOES make up stories like that, it's the website of a magazine and that's what the magazine is all about... made up stories and articles. So don't get fooled!
Some of the articles in it are hilarious, well.. most of them actually.
