Changing History?

I am working on something which I won't elaborate on as of yet because of various reasons.

But let's just say you knew something so incredable it would literally change the path humanity is on and give a species on the fast track to extinction hope. Would humanity be ready yet for something that could alter history in such a way it would put each and every individual on an equal playing field? Are the people ready yet? I fear with all the greed, hatred and war that humanity is not so ready yet for a leap.

I also fear that if I were to actually follow through with something it could potentially end my life as well. My work is far from finished yet but soon I will make a contribution to humanity at the right time and the right place.

It is time for us as a species to overcome our barbaric ways and to work together I may be able to accomplish this. What I am proposing is that light that will guide us into a new age of peace. I have a vision for the world what it could be even long after I am gone. I will make it so humanity does not have a choice but to set aside our differences for the good of the planet and our selves.

You will all see eventually I will revolutionize humanity and end these dark times because I feel I have to. My purpose will soon be fullfilled after that I do not care what happens to me just as long as I know I made the difference that know one else was willing to make.

Humanity has great potential let it not go to waste for in the future we will succeed I promise you all we can make it happen.

Well, from what your saying, you sound like your really on to something big.
Even though you said you can't go into detail, can you at least shed a little light on what it is your exactly doing.

yea, you've certainly got me interested.
though i have to ask: if what you're working on does in fact have the potential to end your own life, are you truly ready to risk it just to give your gift to a species who will probably use it to destroy everything anyway, making your sacrafice vain?

You know, people keep saying that, we as a people are greedy, hateful blah blah...Lets do a reality check! Look outside, do you see people act this way? Im talking about real people, not those who are in power, the majority. Find me some cave painting depicting people as greedy and hateful.

Ask people, "Do you think we need poverty and disease?", reckon most people will say "NO!" Ask yourself who financed the last 300 years worth of war (Bank of England) and ask, were those wars created? So really, are we a warlike species? Do you think that that idea may be very much exaggerated? I reckon it is.

If we are really that filled with hate then Big Issue sellers would need body armour

Ohh yes, one last thing, Charity, they took that from us. Yes, to give to chairty and to know its doing good... gone. Oh but people still give despite the corrupted system... Reckon humanity is doing really well considering the conditions.

Now I may sound weird. But I think that what we picture as a perfect is not at all perfect. In our view of a perfect world, no one is poor. Technology has advanced to its highest degree. Man has to do no work at all, just sit and relax ant their big, huge homes. This seems perfect but it is not.
Humans need to have a purpose in their lives to make their lives worthwhile. You ( The_Doctor ) have a purpose, to bring humanity out of Dark times. But now lets say there were no Dark times, you would then have no purpose in your life, no dreams because all of them are fullfilled. Life would then be pointless.

I think what the good doctor may be refering too is the way our history changes in our (american) schools. Some are not fully investigated and taught that they are fact. This is what I am gathering from his post. Many Blessings

Erradicate lust and greed. The lust for power and things you don't have is a driving force. Many people in charge of the little buttons that could wipe us off the face of the earth are driven by that force. The reason most of us "little people" are not in power is that we are not driven by lust or greed.

Since this is in the scientific thread, I will assume you are working on an INVENTION - and not a political move/statement, nor a philosophical idea.

Just remember, philosophical ideals are like heads, everyone has one.

Myself, I think one of my philosophies could be world-changing if everyone took part in it, but so could the message of Hinduism (the essential message - love each other).

Now, if you're talking about a scientific invention that would change the world, then I say go for it - especially if it's as big as you say.

If it is, however, a political statement (possibly ending your life for a purpose) then I need you to speak to me via U2U so that we can work out some things, and see if it's truely good for humanity, or if could be undermined by the powers that be.

Nature and evolution favors the power hungry and war like JUST AS MUCH as the peacful and cooperative. The two combines create the most successful societies.

Humanity will probably never evolve past war, because to this day is still plays an important role in evolution.

So your question is illogical.

The real question is would you like to release your technology DESPITE the nature of human beings.

If you think humans should be different first, then you might as well scrap your work and go spend time reading about history and learning that the nature of people varries and always will.

After about 3.6 billion years...bacteria still attack and kill eachother just as often as then match up and share DNA.

You can change a person, but you can not change the fact that war is just as good in the eyes of nature as peace. Humans might find a way around this, but after almost a million years of homo sapiens, we still haven't. What make you think we ever will?

Sorry, I think i'm being a bit nosy. But c'mon who would'nt be curious if it were something BIG.

I have a suspition that what i want to do has already been done. If this is the case then perhaps my acheiving my goal will result in 1 of 2 things. One being my death before I can make it happen or two being my plan works and change industry the world over for cheaper then most could possibly imagine. What I am working towards is very cheap and I am surprised it has not been done yet. It was so simple infact I discovered something by accident but if I am to apply this new technological advancement it will revolutionize nearly every industry in the world.

I am no scientist however infact I am not even sure how it works other then it works. I have been advised by certain people not to disclose technical information yet because I am still refining my designs and making it more stable with a little help from those who are smarter then I. It will take a while yet but I am sure you will see it on TV in the not so distant future. It could be applied from Healthcare, farming, transportation, manufacturing and so fourth. Even if you guess it I still can't say but because I like this forum I figured I would let you know that something big is coming.

To adress those who say that's what everyone says about greed etc. I say I am not worried about civilians I know they want it. It is those who control vast fortunes and corperate interests that worry me as well as governments the world over who may potentially try to steal what I am doing and hide it forever. I do not want what I am doing to go to waste.

Okay... so how does this result in your death? Me thinks someone is being a bit over-paranoid about the greed of governments and other industries.

Well, I hope it's a good technology. Give us some hints though! Don't tell us how it does it, but tell us overall what it does.

For example, if it's a new form of fuel, say "It's a new form of fuel". That tells us everything and not at the same time!

If it's something like recycling, say that "It allows me to reuse aluminum cans as top-notch boats!" - once again, everything and nothing.

So, what does it do, this invention of yours? Have you actually tested it (so that you know it works)? Have fun with the patent, make tons of money, and donate some to me so I can get through college

I don't think so if you did research you would know that many people like me with brilliant idea's are often "suicided". Or worse then that thrown into a cell where you would be permantly removed from society for the rest of you natural life. It is a matter of playing my cards right and avoiding those scenarios before i can complete my work.

I used to do research. I co-invented an explosive that is 150 times the strength of TNT and MORE stable. The military offered to buy the info and hire us.

We told them to go to hell.

And I'm alive and well.

This is starting to sound more like a grab for attention than something valid.

What does your invention do? You can easily say what it does without giving away how it does it. Also, if you really have something you want secret, why post at all?

Because i will be using my connections in the media to break my story first here nationally then internationally. Revealing details online is to risky considering my IP can be traced directly to my home. I am not willing to risk my life as of yet and besides as I said before I need to refine my invention first. Stability is the key or it is useless.

Actually, he sounds like he's either in the grips of a delusion or he's simply uneducated about either engineering, physics, or both (if he's talking about some radical energy device/source or a material). I've had a few amazing ideas I the past. Some that were amazingly simple and cheap
and highly marketable.

At least three of my ideas are now on the market and my family knows beyond any doubt
that these were in fact my ideas more than 30 years ago.

Unfortunately, I could not afford the legal costs to protect my interests.

What ever your idea is. Protect it several ways being very specific recording dates times,
locations etc.

Mail a sealed copy to yourself and leave it unopened preferably in a safe deposit box.

Once you have this in place, file for a provisional patent.
The process takes forever, but your return receipt also documents the date.

Keep in mind that patent scouts are all over the USPTO and patent lawyers
are not completely trustworthy.

If your idea would undermine massive profits going to big oil, big pharma, the auto industry etc,
be assured they will try to steal it, buy it or bury it.
Or they'll just sue you into bankruptcy until you cave in.

A simple low cost cure for cancer would be a Godsend and it would put multitudes of people
out of business.
The new vaccine for cervical cancer is worth billions to Merke.

A cheap fuel cell would have you battling it out with big oil and the utility industry.

TRUST NO ONE, but yourself.

All your data, hard drives letters doodling etc should be heavily encrypted.
Your hard drive should also be backed up to redundancy.

I would buy a brand new hard drive, copy your data, encrypt it and then store it
in a safe deposit box.
