I've read in a local newspaper that a boy found a creature about 8cm in height at his village, which is Las Lagunas in Chile. The creature was already dying when they found it and it didn't want to eat or drink. It died a few days after. The weird part is that it mummified rapidly as soon as it died. They have taken it to Santiago de Chile for scientific study.

There's a pic with the boy holding the creature with two fingers (it's so small)
It has a big head, eyes no the sides of it's head, a thick nek and four feet. it looks like it was standing upright when it was alive. (It looks like a miniature version of a grey)

I can't find any other info on it on the net as yet...
The boy who found it is Armando Henriquez.

Weird...

I can't...

The saturday edition of that newspaper isn't online (lazy bastards) and it's also in a language none of you can understand... Papiamento... Maybe zion might know a little, but for the rest of y'all... I doubt it...

The best thing is to search the info online... (Village, Chile, the boy who found it etc...)

That's got me curious...I find myself wishing that I had more of a background in cryptozoology or xenology & closer opportunity to study the creature.

I did see this on Jolly Jeff's site - the suggestion there that it what's left of a foetus, miscarried by some local mammal, perhaps a species of wild cat, seems vaguely possible but so does a carnival freak-show scam, I have to say.
Something natural but the accompanying story hogwash looks about right.
