Well i am doing a poject on this and yes there is oil under antarctica. but maybe they could find a more sustainable way to get fuel. like biofuels. and i guess the oil that they get from antarctica is not cheap because there is only 10% left of our fossil fuels on earth...

It would be difficult (though not impossible) to keep the oil exploration and drilling teams alive in such a climate. And once you get the oil to the surface, what then?

Not when all global oil supplies dry up completely. It is true that there is no point of going there now, but in the future? Long terms infinitely exceed short term expectations. IF there were no other available energy source save oil, then it might be reasonable to assume Antarctica would be the best choice. However, that does not seem to be the case. In such a scenario, demand would be exceedingly high so moving capital to Antarctica would become increasingly easy. In reality, however, the most appropriate answer would be that such an endeavor in Antarctica would impose an opportunity cost on capital, which could otherwise be spent on research and development of alternative fuel sources such as tidal, solar, wind, hydro, thermal, nuclear fission and possibly nuclear fusion. If NONE of the aforementioned sources of energy are sufficient enough to provide the standard of living we all enjoy today, then perhaps expeditions into Antarctica might become cheaper and technically more feasible in the future. I do seriously doubt, however, that we would come to such a point...

I was just reading parts like up to the "Rivers of Milk And Honey" *
and the years of gloom that encompassed the entire world at that time.

Apparently one oily object flu by and dumped a lot of oil on the
Saudi Arabian desert.
Unless all the volcano activity that ensued produced oil as that has
never happened before. I can see where the globe erupted in numerous
volcanoes that lasted in the sky for years perhaps.

It was cool that in 40 to 52 years on different accounts of man that
the object returned and a 50 years period of catastrophe averted
joy was instituted. Yeah that sounds like mankind.

The rotation was reversed and north was south.
The was also a days in the year shift.
Didn't finish with Venus yet and Mars is next.

I'd assume Antarctica acquired oil from the skies as well and sank to
some well.

* in Velikovsky's "Worlds In Collision"
Oil laid down by the heavens, will big oil go to Antarctica.
Should we ask these guys:
www.youtube.com...
Not only oil but they have Tesla technology locked up so that's real power.
