Karmal Dervish is the first American assasinated in public that the CIA admits too. His job was to find willing men to travel to Afhganistan for training. Most of the 5 seemed unwilling once there and left early.
Dervish never went back to the U.S. because he was still on assignment but no longer needed and held too much information that could jeopardize the plan and thus was terminated.
