So, I have a couple of turtles in a nice large aquarium I have. The turles I have are about 8months old now and have grown large enough to attack and
devour a small to medium sized gold fish. I used to drop the fish in the turle's aquarium on a dialy basis to feed them. Now, I used to think turtles
where slow and stupid but much to my surprise I found that my aquatic specimens where quite vericous. They would grab the entire fish in its beak and
use its forward claws to rip it to shreds, either getting the ryr out or ripping its entire head or body apart. I saw this and kind felt bad that the
goldfish had to be man handled and suffer just to the turles can eat. I decided to cut the heads off of the gold fish and just feed the turtles the
goldfish corpses since it wont matter if its alive or dead as long as they eat. So anyway I was about to chop the head off one of the fish I plucked
out of the bag, so as I started to swing downward the fish bounced upward and the next thing I knew I see a bunch of gold scales fly from the point of
impact. I thought I might have just skimmed it but when I saw it on the ground I knew it was dead for some reason but it looked fine. Upon further
inspection I noticed a small portion of it cranium missing from the upper portion of the face above the eye. In essance I cut only a tiny portion
from the scalp of the fish which cut straight through it's brain EXPOSING IT. Very disgusting, I'll leave the killing to the turtles from now on
LOL.
