I find it stupid that you can buy anything over 7.62 in the US. It should be illiegal just in case. Imagine the harm someone can do with a ATM rifle like the Gepard.

They are exellent hunting calibers for larger game

don't get me wrong i love big bore guns. but as sniping goes if you are good even
a marlin 22 can be devestating. but if you absolutly want to scare the hell out of enemy drop 30 snipers into a city with 50 cal baretts they won't know where the shots are coming from heh heh.

Vastly more people are killed or injured in the US each year by Chainsaws (about 40,000) then big bore rifles.

Perhaps we should ban chainsaws as well just in case.

Infact Doctors injury WAY,WAY more people each year then big rifles with malpractice, wrongful death etc...

Ofcourse but would you feel safe if someone who plans evil things can get a .50 rifle? I would not. This is nothing about what happend but what could happen.

Personally I feel perfectly fine because it just doesn't happen. Mainly do the fact that the gun requires skill to use correctly, you cant conceal it , it weighs up to 33 pounds and can cost as much as 7-9 plus thousands dollars.

Not exactly the perfect crime weapon.

Im much more fearful of someone getting a cheap .22 pistol hiding it on their person and then putting a few rounds into my head at point blank range.
