I'm sure I'm not the only one to ponder this, but why are there so many UFO sightings coming from Mexico? What would be a attracting an alien race to that part of the world? I dont think its the weather or the food, the tequila maybe but doubtful.

Perhaps the military have got hold of the technology the Americans have enjoyed for years now. And if they have surely the rest of the nations in the world with this tech wont be happy with Mexico flaunting it.

Or how about hoaxers? Maybe theres a team of talented and very enthusiastic hoaxers in need of a job?

Personally i feel its the military not trying very hard to keep their black projects black. Or a combination of the last two.

Hmm i dono, loads of desert and mountains ideal for a base or landing zone of some kind, military or alien origin.
Maybe they are attracted by the tropical climate.Maybe the ufo's draw energy from natural phenomenons like hurricanes and thunderstorms wich are known to happen in a tropical climate.Nobody really knows i gues.

I dont think they would gain energy from thunderstorms and such because its just too inefficient. As for using the mountians and desserts as a place to hide, if they were that bothered they wouldnt hover so close to town and cities would they.

The ancient Aztec civilization was based in the Yucatan Penninsula of Mexico I believe. The Aztecs Inca and Mayans all have mythology centered around 'being' coming from the sky. Perhaps these UFO's are simply heading to their old stomping grounds.

Let's say you flew your shiny new Aurora south out of Area 51 at, say, Mach 5. You're going to run out of USA in about 5 minutes. Climb to altitude, hit the aerospike and hang a hard left: you're over Mexico City in less than 10 minutes.

Maybe the extraterrestrials are going to help us with the immigration problem.

Yes that may account for some of the sightings but what about the so called fleets? Or the objects which seem to hover for hours? I saw a video posted recently with this mexican guy who lost all credibility towards the end. But the UFO footage in the first third of the conference was spectacular. i think the link to the video was here but it may have been removed since www.abovetopsecret.com... i think you can find it on google video though. Any way like i was saying, there were huge "fleets" of objects just flying around the same area for what was probably hours.

I've noticed that all the videos of large fleets (I say all: I've only seen 3 or 4 clips and they could have been from the same tape for all I know) have come from Mexico. It's a Catholic country, pretty religious, and there are links between UFO sigtings and those of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM).

There does seem to be a pattern in which UFOs mess with people's minds. All the stuff about Prophet Yahweh, for example. He started off with some success in summoning UFOs, but then they seemed to abandon him. Anyone who's read any of the John Keel books or those of Jacques Vallee will be familiar with the idea that there's some sort of psychich 'connection'. In Operation Trojan Horse, Keel gives a fascinating graph showing a correlation between UFO sightings and reported poltergeist phenomena.

rich23 whats your theory? do you believe this has something to with religion or ghosts? If what you are suggesting is true i imagine there would be plenty of sightings in countries which are also very religous. Poland, Isreal and Italy to name a few should also have plenty of UFO sightings. But in recent years everything seems to be comimg from mexico.

If I had a shiny new Aurora I'd be satisfied. How long of a runway does that thing need, cause I'd like to get lunch in Italy today.

Anyways, the aurora by itself doesn't explain the formation phenomena, unless they are running those around in packs. (who knows.)

But the hovering/then accellerating phenomena wouldn't be an aurora. It could,. of course, be some other project.

Still, what I want to know is what is the history of sitings in Mexico?

How far back in time do observations go, and with what frequency?

Those are two key questions.

From what I've seen the earliest of what i consider convincing footage comes from 1999. As for frequency i havnt a clue. What strikes me as odd though is that the majority of the footage of these spherical object alll seem to have been taken from the same place and by the same guy. Now call me a skeptic, but i believe its a good bet that its a mere hoax albeit a very good one.

Mexico has a long and historic popular tradition of people seeing stuff in the skies and having the news spread far and wide by the media of the time. Check out the Virgin Mary of Guadalupe. U.S. journalism went through a period of time when it catered to these kinds of strange stories, but for the most part they gave it up when in order to avoid lawsuits, reporters were required to provide at least some evidence about the reliability of their sources. We still have a few papers that will print anything, but not many.

Now, maybe such "yellow" journalism, designed only to sell newspapers and advertising, hasn't quite faded out in Mexico. Do they publicize UFO sightings any more than they do strange appearances of the Blessed Virgin Mary, or miraculous healings? I don't know. My guess is that the BVM and miracle healings all compete for newspaper and TV segment space.

Prophet Yahweh has long been discredited, he was using a friend to launch air ballons, I believe, at the same time that he would so his ritual. He was arrested for narcotics trading i believe.

A mountainous facility would be visible on Google Earth surely, and as for gaining energy from thunderstorms, how are they supposed to travel through space? Or if you are construing that they are experimental military craft, then they won't get much use, as many of the current and planned conflicts are based in the Middle East.

The REAL reason is probably because Mexico doesn't keep the information a secret like America does.

Mexico broadcast UFO sighting on the news,America doesn't.There to worried about stealing oil from the middle east.

I beleive the warmer climates are more home like to them.
Just a thought anyways. I beleive they are reptillian like to a degree.

I would have thought that the mexican government would have more control over its media than the US has over its own.

The tropical climate does a load, warm weather, blue skies makes up for more sightings i think.Take my country Belgium for example, most of the time bad weather and cloudy, harder to spot things in the sky.
