Ok, its almost Halloween. Since I've been married, I normally just hang out at home, turn out all the lights, and watch TV---so the kids will think no one's one. (I hate that trick or treatin crap, givin away free food to a bunch of monsters). But back in the day, I had the best costumes, second only to my best friend who hooked up the costume in the first place. So, of course, his was better.

In any event, I went to the Rennisance festival this year and I saw a pirate musical troupe. It was great. So great that I got the words to "Somebody-O" (or as it is orgiginally called "Essequibo River") and this year, I see fit to be a pirate (being that I was born in the West Indies where Blackbeard lived, I have a wanderlust, I love alcohol and women, I think I may have been a pirate in my past life, and ...well, you get the idea.

So, what are you guys doing?

Happens in MD, TX, VA, and North Carolina form what I understand---maybe a couple of more states. But, they have this huge park and the whole place is set in 16th Century Europe and on certain weekends the pirates come home.

The buildings and structures are ther year round.

I got invited to a decent sized party, and I'll probably be the only drunk Jedi Knight there.

Ocelot--I'll have to watch where the "lightsaber" goes. My girlfriend is my designated driver for this party.

Oh, MA, I am not celebrating Halloween (which I don't). I am going to a costume party. There is a difference.

Maybe you should get an "S" on your chest?

Yeah, no kidding. In situations like that, it's best to say "yes dear" and not even look at anything remotely female.

Colonel

I only got to the Rennaissance Fair in San Francisco, same time of year.

But I am pretty sure it was a demountable affair, so it must be a lower order imitation.

I bought up all the turkey legs at the end of the day to feed an army at home.
