Global Dimming - Nova: Dimming the Sun, page 1

i'm not too sure what to make of this, its seems plausible.

my friend was just telling me about this show that was/is on PBS.

i watched the preview, is this just more fear-mongering? or is there any truth to this "global dimming" phenomenon?

like i said, i haven't seen the show yet. but basically, the contrails produced by airplanes and certain pollutants caused by humans is actually reflecting much of the heat from the sun that should be penitrating our damaged atmosphere which is essentailly masking the full effects of global warming.

scientists actually noticed this effect after the 9/11 attacks, when all US air traffic was grounded. it gave time for the contrails to temporarily subside and the changes were noticed then. higher high temps and lower low temps? sorry for the lame attempt at trying to explain. i want to see this show!
