Why Are Blondes So Damn Popular?!

Ok I've had it! I'm sick of the way the whole world worships blondes. Every doll is platinum haired, over half of all models are blonde, and 65% of miss universes are blonde. Also in movies the heroine is always blonde and the villainess is brunette. I AM SICK OF THIS BLONDE SUPREMACY CULTURE! I thought the Hitler days were over. Also they say men prefer blondes because it's a more "feminine" hair color. You know what's really amazing? If you're a blonde 80% of the work is done for you. You could have a face like a dog and still be considered beautiful in this society.



P.S. I know a lot of people are going to think this is a pointless RANT but I had to get it out of my system.

Funny, I was watching a show about Hugh Hefners 80'th birthday.
He was surrounded by fake blondes with fake boobs..I commented on how interchangable they looked..Like clones..

I prefer Dark hair..and redheads..always have..

I myself am blonde and i dont consider things to be easier for me.

Its a personal preference, if you like blonde hair then so what. It has nothing to do with Hitler or anything, just what people like.

At my college there is a course for hair and beauty.... it was soooo funny one day because i was walking down the hall way... and about 20 blonde's were standing single file and against the walk.... and they looked lifeless.... my natural reaction was to make a comment.... i said

"hey were is ken?!"

ever seen Stepford wife's... the robots.... basically all of their heads turned but nothing else!!

It's because blondes are statistically rare. People want what is hard to get.

Just look at body piercings. Same ( lack of ) logic applies.

(no offense to "body art" people out there. Just, when working in law enforcement, I promised myself I would do my utmost to keep my flesh from being pierced by any bits of metal that I could avoid. And I've done pretty well so far.)

Anyhoo. People want something that stands out. The "different" car, woman, terrier, whatever.

Some people actively choose another race/nationality for that reason.

As the Missus says, "exotic rhymes with erotic."

Being that i have been both colors lol, i would say blond hair just brightens you up a bit, face wise ect,

My hair is natural light Brown, But i think the trend is going towards dark brown,

over the last year i have seen many blondes dye there hair brown, Lots of movie starts also,

As a guy, I admit that I've always been attracted to blondes.

I don't get how someone could just "evolve" lighter features to look more "attractive" but I've heard this theory before. I can understand less common features being prefered because of Rare Color Advantage. But still with all the bleach blondes they aren't that rare anymore.

If it's any comfort to you, I don't like blonds at all. Living in S California, USA-the far and away vast maJority are stuck up whiches-replace w with B.

I have delt with it for so long, even a nice blond woman( REF TO PERSONALITY) -rare indeed in my personal experience- is just of no interest to me.

I will grant you there are many other men that just go wild for blonds.

The way I see it, go for what attracts you and ignore what does not.

My main point is, you are not alone in not liking/wanting blonds.

I completely expect to get flamed for my presonal preferences-but to you flamers-TUFF COOKIES!!!!!!!!!!

As said in some prior posts, the less number of (natural) blondes adds value as being "special," hence humans wanting to obtain/imitate, creating "blondes" as one creates "gold" jewelry, even to the point of excess.
A man (of Swedish descent) I know tells the story of when he served in the Peace Corps in Africa years ago. In the village in which he lived, he at first was puzzled why women of all ages would bow down in front of him and offer themselves to him. It turns out that they thought he was a god because of his blonde Afro-style hair. His siblings all have straight blonde hair.

I guess it all depends on what type of blonde. There is the bleach blonde, fake tanned, fake everythinged, soulless type that sort of makes me sick to look at. Then there's the natural blonde who just likes her hair like that. I'm more inclined to like a girl with a "cute" face rather than a hot one (A good body too, but that's beside the point), so I tend to see more brunettes that I like. It just depends on what type of girl, really. Like the doc said, blondes are technically rare. The chance that you're gonna run into a naturally blonde woman as opposed to someone who dyed their hair, or is of another hair color, is pretty low. So I guess that might explain why I'm more inclined to see brunettes that I'm attracted too. I think women just look better with their natural hair color, whether it be blonde or brown.

Myself I have to agree with some of the early posters in this thread. Blondes never appealed to me much. Now red heads..thats another thing. Or even women with very dark hair. Those have become more rare than blondes. Blondes have become like a xerox machine..press 50 and you get 50 copies. So many want to be blondes now days it is actually boring to me.

Besides...its so difficult to guess the real hair colour of so many women today that I no longer bother. So many are changing thier hair colour from very young ages trying to be more woman on the outside that they totally ignore internal development in favor of external expectations. Same with alot of males anymore.
I realize that this is a avenue so few men think of very often but its what is so telling to me with so many women.

There has to be a rational reason for this based in biology or spirituality since this preference is high even among people with little positive prior experience to associate with the subject.

I propose that it has to do with our relatives the Nordic Alien Race that has some sort of biological or spiritual bond with us and we perceive blondes as being akin to them. In other words it is natural for a human to want to ADVANCE themselves and association with people of this appearance affects many of us in a manner we cannot explain but for which we gravitate towards.

This is why I began to understand the hugh success of ABBA for example. All those people were not blonde in ABBA but they had that archetypal Nordic appearance which seemed to appeal to people on a very fundamental level (also helped that they spoke english too).

Yeah. You'd have to actually get to know them, over time, and then judge by the roots.

I don't think it has much to do with alien nordics, which I personally don't believe in. As far as ABBA goes, they just happened to be hot. Like Beyonce, or Gabrielle Union. If anything, it comes from the Keltic attitude toward fair skin, which western culture inherited from them. Probably indicated no interbreeding with the hated Romans or something. Notice I said "probably." Since it doesn't account for much when compared to a person's own internal stereotyping.

Most people do what they are told. You'd never notice Purris Hiltin on the street, unless someone leaned over and whispered that she was a millioairess slut. But you are told to pay attention, and so you do. She's about as blonde as a bottle of peroxide, anyway.

My Mothers side are Germans...sort of a mixed bag of French/German from when the borders changed hands during the centuries of warfare between different royaltys in those European days. Fathers side is Hawaiian. So I am sort of a Heinz 57 type. None the less I've had to much unpositive experience with blondes. Not much intrest in them here. Give me a dark haired woman or a Red head any day.

Still... "Nordic Alien Race" That is a new one to me. Someone clue me in please??

Thanks for that description of "Alien Nordic Species." I have bookmarked it for future reference.

I must say, however, that I have never come across that fingerprint among blonde women. What I have run across are mostly xerox copies of public education/mass media marketing. While this is not exclusive to blondes it is more noticable among them for some reason. Nothing telepathic about them.
