New to the site and forum. But I think to myself that the objects don't have to be gigantic for them to be significant. I think the smaller they are the more significant they become, because it's not something you and I or anyone on earth would expect or anything we think has been portrayed to us. That's what I think Martin Stubbs is trying to say. But I'm talking about the "3rd Phenomenon". With the tether incident a lot of things are curious to me, it does seem as though the "orbs" as I call them swarm the tether once it snaps. And if they were indeed ice specks or ice crystals ... and this is just my opinion. They all look the same, they have a little donut holes and really all are similar to each other. I would think that debris in space would go forever until you found two identical items. I see a lot of those "orbs" that have each other quality's and couldn't be picked one from the other. This is my first post here and just wanted to offer my humble opinion, let me know what you think?

It's crazy how every person has their own opinion. That makes sense what you said. If you want to hear what my real opinion is, it feels crazy to type now lol. But I actually believe that for a couple moments there the astronauts were interacting with the "3rd Phenomenon" This isn't the first time I've heard of these little guys, believe it or not the other place where I heard of them was in someones '___' trip, not to get off topic. But just like that guys experience they were interacting with him, I thought they were interacting with the pilots. But I believe they are beings themselves. I could go on and on but that's just my humble opinion.

You can help us see these videos from fresh eyes, so thanks. My question is, in viewing the video, how soon after the tether break does it seem that the 'swarm' appears? Not unreasonably, you have suggested that one event -- the break -- triggered another event -- the arrival of the swarm. But that might be evaluated depending on the time interval between the two events. The video does not give it explicitly, but what impression did you get in terms of the length of the interval until the swarm appeared?

Thank you it is always interesting to see through a new pair of eyes. But it is a good question, I would like to go back and maybe try and count, the only problem is you don't know if it's edited or time lapsed. But I'm sure we could get it in a ball park. But I noticed the exact moment when the tether breaks, there is a delay before it happens and then the top starts to scrunch. I think it's not long after they swarm comes, I believe he says 70 miles, so how long it would take to drift that far would be the answer. But thanks for the feed back

Thanks, you're saying the sequence as presented has the tether breaking, drifting out to 70 miles, and the swarm appearing. Probably a short interval, minutes or hours.

Now, because the videos can be coordinated with ones released live by NASA, a researcher can find them and their actual dates.

It's actually several DAYS later. The tether had drifted away into a higher, slower orbit and the shuttle had rapidly pulled ahead, and the tether was lost to view. But in its faster orbit it 'lapped' the tether and gradually overtook it from behind, days later. That's when the crew had been alerted to keep an eye out for it. That's when the video scene with the swarm was taken.

This is probably quite a surprise, when you learn it. Your first impression was totally incorrect. As, perhaps, the video presenter on youtube had intended in order to allow you to misjudge the interval and imagine a causal relationship between the break abd the swarm.

You've been conned.

I disagree. I think the fact that it is a couple days later that the swarm appears makes it even more interesting. That right there makes it seems like they were intelligent enough to wait for the ship to leave before they went and checked it out. Upon the shuttles arrival they walked right into something they couldn't believe. I think before any astronaut goes up they are briefed on what they are going to see up there, and any time they see something "interesting" they are to refer to them as ice crystals. These objects .... in my opinion ..... move more intelligently then debris ... would you agree to that?? There are some objects that indeed make 45 degree angle cuts while moving toward and away from the tether. It now feels like they waited for the shuttle to leave before they swarmed it to see what it was?
