I look for someone who is a bit awkward and nerdy who likes to be bossed around a little bit. Shameful...I know. :shk:

On the serious side, I look for people who are a bit quirky. I like the kind of guy that most people look at and say "That guy is a bit of a weirdo."

I appreciate extreme uniqueness!

What i look for in a partner is:

Must make me laugh.
Must be kind, and considerate.
Must be genuin.
I like women with dark hair,
I love gree or dark eyes.
Not too tall, im over 6ft.
And must have a nice smile (very important). I love a nice smile.
But most of all, she must be able to cope with me. I work funny hours and love football (uk that is) so she has to be a saint too lol.
I also love a Indie/Alt. style in a girl, but that isn't important

The ladie in my life now covers pretty much everything. Yeh i know its cheesy but i think thats what atracted me to her and now im the happiest man ever

Real honesty, even with themselves and its that last part which is hard. Too many people won't even admit what they really want or need but that knowledge can help you enjoy your career, friends, hobbies and even sex life a great great deal!

You forgot the subservient part . . . . .

Seriously. the qualities I found most important in my future wife:

1. Hi I.Q.
She is practically a McGuyver, and when I met her, she was working 3 jobs! She can carry on a meaningful conversation on so many topics.

2. Sense of playfullness
More than merely a sense of humor. I mean, heck, Bill Maher has a sense of humor but I don't want to be married to him! My wife is "cute" when she's being playfull. When she hears me come home, she and all the kids will hide from me. She loves to be tickled, etc. She makes a lot of "private" jokes that are frequently raunchy, but that no one else catches. we share a private world.

3. She "presents" well.
She looks stunning in an evening gown and expensive jewelry, and she can eat off the good china and make conversation without it being forced. I've never had to worry that Frau Dr. was going to start a discussion of Celebrities who eat placentas while we were sitting down to a meal with business colleagues in a fancy restaurant. She knows what wine to serve with ham, etc. She can be droll and amusing without being artificial. Parties in our home are well attended. The last dinner party was supposed to be from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m., and people stayed until midnight!!!

4. Competent and Interesting in her own right
My friends like being around her. Everyone enjoys time with her. If I died tomorrow, she'd be devastated, but she has her own career and already "has a life of her own." Which is why I wanted to share it in the first place.

Now, I don't believe in love at first sight (although we had that). I think I'm good enough that I could be happily married to most sane, well-adjusted adult females. But I only wanted to yoke myself to her.

Everything I ever wanted.

The only regret was that I was 30ish by the time I found her. She says I was killing time 'til she graduated from college!!

At my age and appearance, just being female is enough for me.
I've never been much into physical appearance of people as to
their worth as a friend or partner. The inner beauty is what matters
to me. I march to the sound of a different drummer.

Conventional fashion can kiss my beans.

Uh.... No.

My ideal guy is funny, quirky, sensitive (but tries not to show it), respectful, honest, honorable, intelligent (NOT arrogant), quietly self-assured and someone who believes strongly in his opinions.

What I don't need:
Money
Tall, dark and handsome
Romance (flowers, jewelry, yuck!)
Someone to take care of or protect me
Fancy dresser
Muscles (although a few are fine)

But are you a submissive?

That's a really tough question.

It would be a delicate thing. Since Texas has never really addressed modern Tort reform, their is still the possibility of, during a lawsuit, a trusted partner turning on you and suing for joint-and-several-liability.

I'd want a partner that I trusted so much, that I could offer to put a waiver in the partnership contract, which specifically excludes several liability, or our agreement to seek private arbitration if a judge orders it.

But how could you ever bring up such a delicate issue with a potential partner.

I'm just not that open. I guess I'm sort of a loner.

That's the reason I always opt for S-corporations, or better yet, limited liability companies.

That's a whole 'nother level of trust.
