a rude awakening...a new age??

i had this dream just a few hours ago.

i can't remember where i was but anyway here goes.(my story telling/grammer sucks, so bear with me)

i was with some of my friends, i think somewhere with hills/mountains in the horizons, clear day. felt like any other day except all that changed when this huge missile flew out of no where. then after a few seconds of rising steadily, it suddenly started to incline downwards. my friends panicked and started to collect some stuff and run. i thought it was no use cos we were quite near to its blast region. then it blew up, there was this huge mushroom shaped cloud. oh my god, i thought, thats a nuclear missile. we're all gonna die. how we survived, i dont know, maybe it was cos of the hills/mountain.

anyway i grabbed some stuff as well and was about to follow my friends, then i heard it on the radio, how will the uk/ us reply to this outrage. a world war3?? when i neared my friends, this planes came out of no where and started spraying us with bullets. we tried our best to reach for cover, some of us managed but most of us were gunned downed. to make matters worse, these armed soldiers came out of no where at the horizons and started killing ppl. the person in front of me was shot down. i was brought down by him. his blood oozed down on my face, i couldn't think, in shock?? anyway a couple of secs later the soldiers was walking towards us. i was in suspended animation. i wanted to hide my face underneath the dead guy but couldn't... then as they passed... i signed a relief and then i woke up....

just thought i would share my dream with u guys, hopefully its just a dream and will remain a dream and be forgotten...peace out.

Very interesting. I can't say that I could tell you what this dream means. It could be that you were watching too much news yesterday or it could mean something. I'm not in any position to tell you which one it is, but it's not a far-fetched scenario. Thanks for sharing this.

im not really sure, at that moment in the dream i think i had more things to worry about than the smell...

anyway i think i didnt smell anything. why did u expect me to smell something?

I have found that if you have a dream where you experience more than just sight and sound it is typically either going to happen or a message of some sort. You described sight and sound but nothing else, so I was just checking. Dreams like yours, i like to check into a bit to see if there is the possability of that happening, or part of it happening.
Generally if you need to remember, you will experience smells, like the grass, the smell of smoke, smell of blood (in your case), what ever. Typically something other than an every day smell for you so that if you end up in that situation, you will flash back to your dream and whatever it is you need to do. Other dreams you dont smell anything.


The sense of smell will triger memories and emotions quicker than anything.

That is really interesting. I never noticed smells in conscious life until after I underwent chemotherapy. Now I am more attuned to smells and sometimes notice them in very vivid dreams. Some dreams are more emotionally vivid, while others are more tuned into the physical senses.

I have experienced similar dreams to the OP's. Most of these dreams are almost like watching a movie. That is, I'm not really involved, just observing.
