jritzmann You nailed it also.
There really is no accountability.

On that note I would say it's curious we have no means of stickying the hoaxed images, videos, accounts, and distorted facts. I'll note that the same ol' images and videos make the rounds time and again. Interesting enough someone noted that if this board applied such a measure, the pool of material to discuss would inevitably shrink close to nothing. With a bit of a sneer I'd almost have to agree that there is an inherent need to perpetuate certain mythos and legends via recycling. So ...What good is investigation if none of the evidence "for" or "against" is ever cataloged?

And more in support of the original post.
The idea that Extraordinary Claims require Extraordinary Proof seems lost on allot of people. Without extraordinary proof and accountability anyone has a license to post fiction as fact with little or no consequence.

It is said that Ufology is its own worse enemy. AMEN! Sometimes I myself get wraped up in wild stories and outragous claims. I love comming to ATS! The UFO site has some very infomed people I dont read the "abduction stories" as Ive heard so many of them. I would like to see more stories with evidence also.

There are proffesionals and online support groups for victims of abductions and such. I can hook them up if they ask or try Googling.
