can someone help

whats up?
I went into my window directory and on "system32" I clicked properties then under attributes I checked "hidden" on, thinking it would show hidden files as well! Only now that whole folder is'nt there now? what happened and how can I bring it back?
I was trying to locate files for the trojan "searchv" ? not sure if i was doing it right, searched on google and found a site that said to search for winshow.dll and delete it!
all i want is to get the system32 files back where they were!!

When you checked on "hidden" you made it a "hidden" file in it's attributes. It's still there...don't panic.

That isn't to show hidden...you made it hidden...

Open a file... My computer will be fine.

Click on Tools, then click folder options.

Next click on view. Scroll down until you see hidden files and folders. now just click, show hidden files and folders.

Finally click apply and you are done.

Yep..sorry, I should have gone further to tell you how to see it again...hehe... Once you do what KOS mentioned...call it up again, right click, and properties, and unhide it...

i got the file back to where i can see it, but NOW when i open it it doesn't have all the sub folders like it used to, and its all different now?
theres like a file directory on the left but theres only files i dont recongnize and well before when i would open system32 it would open another directory full of subfolders...much like when you open up c:\windows..
i shouldnt mess with stuff i'm not familiar with,
i had spyware bots out the yahoo and i think after using some programs all is back to normal except for my system32 tampering
