So bacne, back acne, zits of the back. I have really bad bacne, so bad the only way to compare it is to Bubble wrap and swim suit season is coming up. Does any one have any tips to clear this up? or just acne in general because its on the face too.

Hey Vegemite.

The only advice I can think of is to drink lots of water. But if this is really affecting you (and your confidence) do go and see your doctor. I was talking to a GP about this recently and he said there is absolutely no need for anyone to suffer from this anymore. You should be able to get tablets which will clear this up very effectively indeed.

Try rubbing a cut onion on you back before you take a shower. The onion opens up the pores and allows better cleaning. Less soda, chocolates.
Hope this might help.

I found that just letting it be worked best for me. I had it really bad for about 4 years, up until the last few months. I did what others have mentioned already, lots of water and such... even went to the Dermatologist to get medicine, which never worked. So I decided to let it be. After I did that, it went away all on it's own. Now I only get one every so often, and my back might get one or two here and there... but NOTHING compared to what it used to be. Maybe you should drink lots of water, and just let them go out on their own?

I usually have good results using normal soap, rubbing it good into my skin and then let it sit there for ~5 mins.

A doctor can help

Perhaps you clean the area too often? That can cause drying and then an overproduction of oils.

Could be from particular soaps or overcleansing, laundry detergent or bleach, fungus, plant oils trapped in the fibers.

I used to have this horribly throughout puberty..i was given some pills and a lotion for it...neither seemed to helped the lotion just stung and seemed to make everything swell up. As ive gotton older its nonexistent (im almost 18 now) however if this isnt puberty related then lots of water like others have said and make sure u give it a good scrub when u shower (with some kind of exfoliating brush) and an exfoliator to get rid of all the dead skin and unclog your pores...also if you have long hair (especially if you use a lot of products) tie your hair up while u sleep and use a headband to keep it off your face too...yes this may look a bit silly lol but better than the acne im sure.
One thing the doctor used to say to me was that one of the best things for it was to get some sun on it...yes i know this is hard because you'll want to cover up etc but it does help whenever you get the chance. If its really severe then perhaps seeing a specialist would be the right thing to do though.
Good luck.

Also... what worked very good for me, but does have a lot of side effects (Luckily I never suffered any) is Acutane. it dries out the skin and wipes it all out. It worked amazingly, and after the first round it very rarely comes back now. Only thing is, is in some people it can cause organ problems so you have to get blood drawn every so often to check for stuff. But it went perfect with mine.

I had (and am just getting over) really bad bacne which has left possible permanent scarring. I began using some tablets which my doctor gave me and they worked after about two weeks (take eight to complete the course).
I will get the name of them for you and post back 2mro.

Yeah, I'd say see a dermatologist.

I used to get big pimples on my shoulders. I wouldn't call it backne because it wasn't all over, just a few pimples at a time, bit they were there, big and hurt.

MY dermatologist gave me a special soap, and used this thing to cut the heads of the pimples off...I coulnd't really see what she was doing. Since I had moderate face achne too, she gave me a pill and face scrub as well.

I used the stuff and within 2-3 months it cleared up pretty much completley. I'd get a pimple here and there, but nothing widespread. I used it between 15-17 and then stopped.

By that time I guess I was through that phase of puberty since the pimples never really came back.

Use those tablets I said in my last post, and then go to a hot country (really hot)!!!

I did and it worked amazingly!!! Apparantly taking the tablets kills the bacteria, and the heat and sunlight evaporate/dry out the oil in the skin.

yea i used to get backne allot and i mean alot. The best advice i could give you was to let your back air itself out. I used to sleep with a shirt on but now i dont and it has significantly improved the backnee.
