AA, yes we do have some weird sounding junkfood and just food in general. ex. chitlins, scrapple, collard greens, chichirones, green chili, manudo
all best washed down with a LoneStar or a Rolling Rock.
Here in the land of Enchantment, there is a 7-11 on almost every corner and predominately displayed next to the cash register is the Mystery Meat.
It can take many forms, from sausages, to flat sheets, chunks, pickled in jars, squeezed out of a tube or warmed on chrome rollers. The one thing
they all have in common is that they are SALTY.
The obvious ploy here is to get you to purchase beer, soda or designer water and it works extremely well.
In some of our more ethnic bars and beer joints, sometimes there is a large jar of animal body parts in vinegar. Usually pigs feet and ears. This is
not mystery meat as it is clearly visible as to what it is. Not for the faint hearted I might add.
I haven't cooked a meal since 1985.
