There will not be a War in Iran

There will not be a war here because Bush would not be able to get support for it because of his unpopularty because of what happened in Iraq, Britian and other countries would not be able to support them because of the deployment in Afganstan and Iraq. And the most important is that Iran has said it has a nuclear weapon or wepons so the US would not get involved because it is to much of a threat.

I don't believe Iran has ever claimed they were in possesion of a nuclear weapon. This whole exercise has been about stopping Iran from obtaining such weapons.

You may be right about their not being a war. Which is unfortunately obvious to the Iranians as well. If the situations in Iraq and Afghanistan were better things might be different. Coupled with Russia's and China's admited reluctance to support the use of sanctions their really isn't much the US, EU or the UN can do to get the Iranians to cooperate.

With China and Russia being prime allies with Iran, or atleast appear to be, the U.S. would be mad to approach any war scenario without support from countries such as Britain or France.

I don't know if there will be a war but I'm certain there will be some kind of military strike but who knows how the Iranians will react or anyone else for that matter.

I'm sure that can be changed quickly. As for not being able to get enough support; all he needs is another incident similar to 9/11 to get that support; simple enough. As for having nuclear weapons, they would jsut say that letting them keep their nuclear weapons and producing more would be more of a threat than using force to rob them of this possibility and risking a nuclear attack.

As mentioned by the others, I neither hope we'll get war...
However, there's a big war will break out (soon).

The US will be most probably supported by:

European Union
Australia/New Zealand
Japan

Germany and France have enough troops to support an American assault on Iran. I agree, the other countries are widely spread over Iraq/Afghanistan.

But those countries can still support an assault by air and sea force.
