Ever heard a song that you hadn't heard in forever and had forgotten how much it rocked?

I was listening to the local classic rock station on the way in to work this morning and they played Rock Candy by Montrose. I damn near wet my pants and wrecked my car I got so excited!

For those who don't know Montrose, it featured a very young Sammy Hagar.

Peace

.....I heard Rock and Roll by Led Zep on my way home from work today...almost had a friggin wreck. What a killer tune. Sometimes I forget how good songs are...then I hear them and it's great because it's almost like hearing it for the first time all over again. Rock on.... Dr. Love

Dr. Love

Montrose..

Funny you mentioned that, I've been on a Montrose kick for the last couple of weeks...I mentioned Ronnie Montrose in the Progressive Rock thread.
I had forgotten about Him, and his bands for quite a few years.
I really love the intro to "Space Station Number 5".

Have you ever listened to any of the Gamma series of albums?

Oh, yes, Rock and Roll, by Led Zep...Someone left the CD in my car a couple of years ago..I still have it..

I'd better add another one..
"No More, No More" by Aerosmith..From "Toys in the Attic"

Nothing like Judas Priest to brighten up my day.

This happens to me on a regular basis.

Some damn song that I can never remember the name of and never have a chance to listen to it other than those rare times when I hook it on the radio, and still forget to listen for the name of it.

So damn frustrating.

Yeah, Montrose. They were very big when I was in college. Used to play the vinyl (yep I'm about 175 years old) at parties all the time. Rock Candy!!

Just the other day, Deep Purple's "Hush" was on the radio. Brought back some memories...

I had this experience listening to "Overture" from Jesus Christ Superstar as well as Judas' opening lines. Man Richie Blackmore kicked.

Then I turned the stereo off, and there was "whole lotta love." Which I basically have listened to so many times I can hear it in my head whenever I want.

Then there was "Electric Eye" by JP . . .
