It looks like Sheen has some support from Hollywood.

Video

Note, she DIDN'T agree with his opinion on 9/11, but she DID support that he went public and his right to go public. Good for her!
I wonder if any other Hollywood people will support Sheen, or even come forward themselves if they agree.

Good find truthseeka

I hope some of the Hollywood intellectuals such as Warren Beatty, Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon etc. come out in support of Sheen’s view, or at least demand further investigation into 9/11.

You said yourself that she didn't support his view, but his using of his right to publicly speak against the government... So why is this in 9/11 & 7/7 Conspiracies? Seems to me like it belongs in BTS - People.

True.

At least, she didn't agree PUBLICLY. There's a chance she actually does agree, but doesn't want to go that far. I would think that if she disagreed, she would have made that explicit, but that's just me. You know, something like "crazy as his ideas are, I support his right to say them publicly." But that's just me.

Umm, truthseeka, is this not expected, I mean geez, I am sure it is quite obvious that Hollywood is about as far left as left can get, eh?

Left and right has nothing to do with it.

Why are actors opinions somehow more valid than our own?

They aren't.

There are people on here that i routinely disagree with, yet I respect their opinions more than I do the opinions of Sheen, Stone or Penn(especially Penn).

At least on ATS we have an opportunity to show the research and evidence that led to our opinions. Celebrities don't have more valid voices, just because people know who they are.

Winning an oscar does not make you an expert on anything but acting.

Sigh.

Who said anything about the whole left-right thing? Seriously, what is that?

LeftBehind, the point ain't how great actors are.

The point is that they can reach a MUCH larger audience than those of us who disagree with the official story here can. You're right, their opinion doesn't mean more than anyone else's, but that isn't what matters. What matters is that these people can let people who don't check out alternate media know that there are people who disagree with the official story on 9/11.

OK...

What does that mean? Seriously, what the hell is that?

What it means is that celebrities are probably the worst possible people to have advancing you cause.

No one cares what celebrities think. Their opinion is not more valuable because they reach a bigger audience,

If it worked that way, there would not have been a war in Iraq.

Humanitarian causes are one thing, but to change your mind because Sheen says something is pure idiocy.

If anything celebrities speaking about something tends to minimilaze the issue.

Imagine if Paris Hilton tommorow came out and said "Duh, like the twin towers were totally demolished. Anyone can see that, like, the government is behind it all!!"

Not when you want your cause to reach the ears of millions.

No one is saying that their opinion is more important than others. When will you get this? Now? Never? The thing here is to let people know that this is what a lot of people think.

As for the Iraq War, don't make me laugh. The Bildebergers wanted that war to happen; nothing short of the Almighty would have stopped it. But, whatever.

Please, explain how you know this? Also, Charlie Sheen supporting the "9/11 truth movement" is a great way of letting millions of people know how fictitious, and foolhardy the "movement" is.

There is no such thing as a Hollywood intellectual.

Of those you mentioned -
Warren Beatty managed to get his high school diploma. Barely.
Sean Penn graduated from Santa Monica High and was a 'surf nut'. No college for him either.
Susan Sarandon graduated from Catholic University in the 60's. She majored in Drama.

Those you mentioned are radical lefties who hate the administration.
That doesn't make them intellectuals. Not even close. Most of those
in Hollywood suffer from hyper-reality. They think that they and their
opinions are more important than everyone else's.

'Intellectuals' are people who are like Dr. Condi Rice. Graduated
high school 2 years early. Earned her doctorate and speaks Russian
and Spanish very well. She's also written very well researched books
on Russia. THAT is an intellectual. Bill Clinton being a Rhodes Scholar.
THAT is an intellectual.

That being said. Charlie Sheen has as much right as anyone else to
voice his opinion. But lets' not put him (or anyone else in Hollywood)
forth as 'intellectuals'. They aren't.

Surely an intellectual is not defined by how many certificates they can attain?

I take it Flyersfan, that your definition of an intellectual is taken from a journalistic point of view as defined in wikipedia as in Academic Intellectual as opposed to a Public Intellectual?

What sort of an intellectual is Governer Schwarzenegger?

That is a very accurate way of showing intellect.

No, he is using the normal definition of the word: found here.

Nobody said Governor Schwarzenegger was an intellectual, but he is an elected offical unlike Mr. Sheen.

Hope this helps.

They have money and money means power. These celebrities are known WORLDWIDE and because of this when they speak people listen.
They have access to the media and this is something neither you nor i have.

You see, they dont have to have been to an Ivy league school. They have our ears like it or not.

And where exactly, Boatphone, does it say in your link, that intellectualism is acquired by schooling, academia or certification?

My question to Flyersfan, was a genuine one.

According to Wikipedia, the term intellectual when used in the media is assumed to be someone who is academically qualified, where as the dictionary definition makes no reference to academics, as demonstrated in your very own link Boatphone.

The argument against Charlie Sheen having an intellect is of little relevance, this is to do with an individual willing to question the authorities openly rather than just tow the line and keep there concerns to themselves with little regard for the knock effect toward there career.

I'm sure there are plenty of high profile individuals who have similar questions to Mr Sheen, but are unwilling to take the risk of sacrificing there career or being tarred with the "looney left" tag, just for demanding answers to the anomolies that surround 9/11 and the present administration.

Personally, I do not accept alot of the conspiracy theories regarding 9/11, as it appears some theories grasp at straws for validity, but there are many anomolies which are not explained and the official explaination only brings up additional questions.

Funny how Sharon Stone has got Basic Instinct 2 out in theatres now and Charlie has Scary Movie 4 coming out in a month or so..
Have you seen the trailer for Scary Movie 4? The bit that takes the mick out of The President being told about the planes hitting the towers in the school room, only in the trailer it's done about aliens invading.
