I sure was leaning towards some jokesters with balloons.

I can agree with birds in the first video. I've never seen a flock of snow geese that large and didn't have a frame of reference. I finally found a photo of a huge 'v' formation of snow geese, here:

The lighting is weird, but it sure is close to the same formation.

I'll agree, the first video appears to be birds. I'm sure however that not all of the reports are flocks of geese.

These are not geese flying in formation.

These look a lot like seagulls, but they're actually snow geese.

I used to live along a major migration route. If it's springtime, the birds are heading north.

Intersting vids there, I especially like the Arizona at night ones, they rule.

Be it birds or not, bloody brilliant.

They don't have to be geese, lots of birds don't fly in formation but do fly together.

I guess there are lots of balloons released at funerals, but they're often released as "races" for charity. Balon.

Here is an interesting take on the situation. This doesn't apply to any of the video's mentioned by the poster, but it is about the mexican UFO phenomenon.

After a video of 11 unidentified objects in the skies over southern Campeche state, filmed by Mexican Air Force pilots was first aired on national television on May 10, the official response via the media was that the Mexican air foce had witnessed a scientific phenomenon of gases.

(PRWEB) May 19, 2004 -- It has now come to light that this response is -- as is typical with UFO sightings -- erroneous.

This is because the Mexican air force never even saw the UFOs with their own physical eyes. They monitored the UFOs with infrared cameras and on radar. So, there were physical objects but the pilots couldn't see them, even though it was daytime. They felt the objects were intelligently controlled.

So it appears this is a very unique sighting. Made even more so by the fact that the videotapes were made available by the Mexican Secretary of Defense to a major Mexican UFO researcher.

This is especially interesting because the Mexican government is all about being straight forward with UFO evidence, and has yet to explain the situation.

Edit: Wig, please watch the video video.google.com... and skip ahead 29 minutes. Birds can't maintain that steady formation for that long. Further than that, balloonswouldn't hold that formation either.

Check this story out. I remember seeing these metallic spheres when I was small. They were totally still, then as I would notice them, they would move in a controled flitght.

I am in agreement with most of the people here. It's either flares or reflective balloons. No need to look for an alien or secret goverment craft here.

OH....

They are BIRDS! in that blue and white picture above, you can even see their HEADS AND NECKS, and TAILS, and that the wings of some of them are UP, and the wings of some others are DOWN. Birds are not military formation flyers, they fly as they choose, which is in crooked V-formations and weird patterns. It's the most efficient way. Everyone sees UFO's everywhere now adays. And I who have really seen a couple of them, don't have a single picture to show for it. damnit damnit damnit.

Something tells me the guys at Guadalajara airport are too under-equipped and have too little to do.

I get it... YOU GUYS are the aliens, and you're trying to trick people in order to discredit them. NICE WORK! *clap clap*

If it wasn't interventionism, I'd go out at night and tie little blinking colored LED-lights to some weather balloons and release them en masse just to laugh at people.

Storks sometimes fly in huge formations, usually v-shaped. The videos had balloons, obviously. Night clip was odd, coulda been video jitter due to bad tape.

The original 'fleet' video, not posted here, is more interesting because they were clearly visible to the eye and still above the clouds. They would have to have been huge balloons if that was the case...

This one must be one of the most weirdest ones yet. Notice how they move in a controled way. Two of them stay put and two of them move into positon.

They make a perfect geometrical shape.

See them here. Must foward the video to about 42 seconds and then watch their movement.

See here

Aztecatl, This isn't such a long thread. If you read all of the way through you'll notice that the image above is not the image in question, but rather an attempt to debunk the idea that other images are UFOs.

There are a few videos throughout the thread that all have been claimed as UFOs. Many appear to be birds, and some may be explained rationally as balloon clusters. The one I'm interested in is a video of hundreds of objects moving in perfect synchronization, without appearing to be in any particular formation.

At this point the best rational bet would be weather balloons. The problem with that theory is that there are hundreds of them, and government officials at a nearby rally were awestruck. Why would there be hundreds of balloons? June '04 was the calmest month in a hurricane season since '69, so there would be no hurricanes or tropical storms to fly into.

I think this quite possibly could have a rational explaination, but I'm not satisfied with any given. Until then I call them UFOs

The thing about these clips is that the UFOs don't look like they're moving very fast, so what was the ultimate end to the sighting? Did they take a half hour to blow away? Did they just vanish? What?

And it's a nice trick, too, zooming in on when the random patterns happen to form a triangle or trapezoid. Oh, obviously intelligently controlled.

Yeah, I always wondered about that too. THere had to have been something. Unless they were just on a cross country tour. "If you look down you'll see the puny Earthlings whose rectums many of you have probed"

There are also reports from the Mexican Airforce being followed by these things, invisible to their eyes, but visible to the infra-red cameras.

ROTF You can see the wings flapping!!

So every blury vid of birds flying is a UFO now?

No wonder people don't take the UFO thing seriously!

Seriously I think you guys just WANT to believe they're UFO's, coming to invade. Did someone spike the water system or something

I don't see no trick. Just two spheres making manuvers that can't easely be expalined. I guess you have no real explanation for this one and have to say something right?

These objects in the last video defy what is being said here. These objects clearly move in a way that is not posible with balloons. If this was a suden air gust, why just two of the objects move. Why do the other two, which are very close to the moving ones stand still. why not all move at the same time?

Your "trick", "balloon" or 'bird" thery does not work for this one.

Yes I can accept that some of the vids might be birds, and some might be balloons, but please open your mind to the possibility that some just are not. Don't simply debunk everithing just becasue you don't believe in UfOs.

You quoted me on the wrong video. Read that quote again and then watch the video provided. there is no such wing flapping there.
