See, that's the funny thing. I had no intention of going but ended up with an entire afternoon without my kids and decided to make the drive to San
Jose at the last minute.
I dropped in at the booth, and during the course of talking with Mirthful Me, got tired of standing, purloined the extra chair (everyone else had gone
off to see John Lear's second presentation -- I sat in on the teaser one), and just sort of butted in.
I've done lots of game conventions (the Dungeons & Dragon type of games), and helped out at the booth of the company that published some of my stuff
in the 80's. It was just sort of natural to do the same thing once I was sitting in the booth.
Of course, Mirthful Me looked rather tired (and hungover -- shhh!) so I got the impression he didn't mind the intrusion. And when I got online the
next day, I had all these points I didn't have before.
So, where do you sign up? Just watch the boards for the next Expo the 3 Amigos talk about, and drop in if you can.
ONe thing about Expos and conventions is that the booth staff always wants a break and there are things to see and do and not enough staff to see and
do at the same time. So having an extra victim, er, volunteer, is always handy.
