As far as I know, the "Rapture" idea was started relatively recently and was only a ploy designed to scare people into joining the church, aka opening their wallets.

Interesting convo. But remember our calendar is a lil off.
So it may happen b 4, or after. I dunno wen xactly. Some say 2012...some say 2011.
some say 2006. Noone knows for sure, but it's soon.

But december of last year I've had dis really bad feeling dat somethin bad waz gonna happen. & not jus involving me. I mean worldwide. I dunno what it is, but the feeling is still here with me.
In the month of January, almost everynight I dreamt that the world ended, or was ending. Most of the dreams involved large holes & fire.
It cud jus b a dream, it cud jus be my paranoia, it cud simply be clairvoyance at it's work. Or maybe a combination of it all.
But I do kno somethin's gonna go down that'll change history forever. & it'll happen soon.

It make sence to me that he could be revealed on that date. The bible does say that the number of his name is 666 and that people will come to realize what that means later on. So it seems as though that is a good guess. With all the war and natural disastors we have been having, it seems as though something terrible is going to happen soon. Maybe the bird flu, maybe war, maybe a combonation of many things like this. Probably it will be so much that it will be too much to handle. Maybe the only way for the world to survive is to unite. But someone is going to try to unite the world and he will seem to bring peace but he is really the antichrist trying to take over the world.

I think a lot of people would be willing to get the mark in order to feel safe. It will be a patriotic thing to do. Or it those who don't get it will be seen as joining the terrorists. Only people who have something to hide don't want to get it. That is what they will say. People who don't get it will be feared at first. Maybe they will not force people at first. But people will have a hard time adjusting to a cashless society and they will have to get the mark to eat. And some will do that. Others will barter or starve. They'll try to psych people into getting it somehow. But for those who try to wait it out, I guess they will finally be rounded up somehow and taken away until they change their minds. I don't think they will kill people, but they might do all kinds of other horrible things to them first, like experiment on them or something.

Anyway, the mark is going to seem like the obvious answer to everything. If no one has any privacy, then everyone is safe, because everyone knows what everyone else is doing. So no one can get away with anything.

But really they just don't want anyone to think for themselves, which is why they will keep people from gathering. People who gather together in groups can think and they don't want anyone having ideas other than what they tell people to think.
So maybe we all have to go to work and then straight home in the new society. We'd have to dress a certain way and act certain way. It would be like were were the sims or something and someone else was controling our lives for their own fun.

But I'm perplexed by the idea of the "mark of the beast'. It couldn't be a chip or tattoo because that would simply be too obvious and people would be ready for it anyway...and the 666 and antichrist thing..its all being widely predicted so why should the devil do things this way, he would be living his own demise if he just arrived on the world scene soon and declared peace when all the people would already know he is the expected antichrist...the mark of the beast would ascertain your loyalty to the beast and Satan so why should it simply be a tattoo or chip...methinks it will be something much more subtle and sinister

I've also read that the number might not be 666 at all but 616, in which case maybe it would be the 1st of june? I don't think the number is a date. I think it has to be more cryptic than that. Also, a quick aside, but didn't Marilyn Manson miss his chance at a good wedding date by getting married last year, he should have waited! I'm also thinking of taking the day off work cause it might be a fun day to stay in.

correct me if i am wrong but even the number 666 had no meaning at all untill the middle ages so other then religion giving it hype it realy has no meaning in the original religion's ( i say original because religion has been so twisted over the last 2000 yrs who could possibly believe whole heartedly that what we read today was the intended story).

Wrong machinist, Gematria is a very very ancient study. 666 was a number often given to the main deity of the Canaanite pantheon (Baal Hadad) and was used in small necklaces/charms in Babylon. It has an enormous number of meanings in the Kabbalah, and is also used in the study of angeology. The Babylonian connection seem's to be the key though.

Some person claims to belive 6/6/2006 is THE date - does no one know that the worlds calenders ar different. To the Hebrew this is not a date - to the Russian this is not a date. Even to Brits and Americans - 9/11 happenend on 11/9 over here. Ok so we cant argue in this case - but Russian Easter still happend 4 days after ours - figures are great.

There is a great lie in Statistics - I once heard it discussed as this - "to live live based on figures is to drive a car with a closed up windscreen towards a brick wall - relying in a rear view mirrior". Thats what figures mean to those of us who use then - cya all on 7/6 or 6/7 whatever - and thats called DENY IGNORANCE.

No, even at one a day you'd only have $730. You'd need something like 10,000 for every bad prophecy. That said, this prediction is just bad to start with. You can't drop off the "200" from "2006" just out of convenience. That's like cutting the corners off a square so it fits in the round hole, and then claiming that the square was a perfect fit.

People think too highly of satan. satan is a slut. And 6/6/06 is just the date when satan has his menstrual cycle .

I'm glad I wasn't born on 6-6-66 or a similiar 666 date. I can just imagine all the people born on that date being looked at funny if anything out of the ordinary ever happens to them. I imagine the guy who says he's going to announce the anti-christ is already rolling in the dough by getting so many hits on his web site. I suppose he could be cryptic in his announcement on 6-6-2006 and say that libel legal issues prevent him from actually listing someones name unless of course for a small fee, you request his identity contained in more info he's selling. It all sounds like a good money making scam to me.

In all seriousness, though, the number 6/6/06 seems suspect. Given the evidence (as listed earlier) that a)the Roman calendar has been manipulated, and that we now use the dates on a calendar by given convention and b)The three numbers have occured in past centuries to no avail leads me to believe that it'll just be another day.

Also, I've studied a bit upon the references to the number '666' in the Bible and have come to the realization that these interpretations are very open-ended in nature.

Regardless of how you spend your day, it should be an interesting one regardless.
