I know it will devastate you dg, but mark January 20th, 2009 on your calendar. Bush will be gone noon that day.

DJ,

I will light candles in anticipation to your great prophecy and his speedy exit from the White House.

So replacing one crime family with another is good for the people or country how?

I don't think we'll see Jeb Bush as President for at least another 4 years after the next election, so I'm going to agree with djohnsto pattern of Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, Bush.

Bush - Clinton - Diebold - Diebold - Diebold - Diebold - ...

I would like to see who is in the line up for the coming of age with the new war front. If not the Clintons then who. What would make up the right famliy? How can one tell who's good or bad in the eyes of the people?

Diebold is an electronic pollbooth company who are supposedly Republican Supporters.

I believe Diebold is the voting machine company.

Exactly it won't be up to you...

The Diebold Factor

The people behind this company and the other three who make electronic voting machines are more than just Republican supporters, some of them actually run the Republican Party.

Gools, surely you are not suggesting foul play

It's not the votes that count but the people (or machines) that count the votes

Ok I appologise to CORF if I've derailed his thread with my little joke (actually it would be funny if it wasn't true) so to get things back on track I'll ask why in the world would Americans accept yet another Bush family member? Even without Diebold being a factor.

Didn't Washington explicitely refuse a crown and the concept of monarchy? Are there no other good candidates among the almost 300,000,000 people of that country?

Why this desire for ruling family dynasties?

Carry on...

Another 4, or more, years of either a Bush or Clinton would be, quite frankly, nausiating (I know I didn't spell that one right
). I am to the point where I wish both families would just shut the hell up, and go the blank (insert explitive of your choice here) away. Quite frankly neither one was/or has been especially spectacular at their jobs, its just that the alternatives offered sucked even worse. Quite sad, actually.

It's time for a fresh face, or twelve, to take over. I got dibs on Sec.Def., or maybe VP, cool digs and no responsibility other than going to funerals.

I sincerely doubt Jeb Bush could ever become president...he has a lot of personal issues. I also doubt Hillary will ever get it either -- too much triangulation and personal issues as well.

If I had to bet now, I'd say McCain will be the next president.
