What brings you here?

1-Aliens-ufos-believer or skeptic
2-Death-life issues
3-Metaphysical studies
4-Mediumship
5-Esoteric studies
6-Scientific matters
7-Total skeptic of it all

Interesting query here if posters will be honest..

My bottom line is to deny ignorance. If I can contribute to that effort, I do. If I can't, I move on. Past experience has shown which post are open to denying ignorance and which ones only want to push an agenda. I don't waste my time on the latter.

I am here to absorb all I can that is beside the mainstream. Maybe I can find some answers, or at least begin to ask the right questions. Maybe, I could just learn enough about myself, and the possibilities contained within, to thrive.

Also, Mind matters or the para nature draw me in a major way, so I guess I'll say #3.

I am passionately curious.

I am here to fight ignorance wherever it appears.

In the words of A Tribe Called Quest, "If knowledge is the key then show me the lock."

Initially I came here for info on UFOs and the Paranormal.

After a little exploration I have found some of the most creative, funny, clever, wacked out and inspiring minds anywhere. Also in contrast; some of the most intellectually constipated, tunnel visioned, and arrogant mooks on the www.

It's the dichotomy that makes ATS so much fun.

I'm mostly here to talk about UFO's and conspiracies.

This site is just more educational, informative, and interesting than cnn. What really brought me here are UFO's though. Thinkin big...

Thank you for your responses.Thought this would have more activity.
Maybe is it paranoia?

It widens my perspective. I believe I am less gullible and I question more.
Paranoia seems to be a side effect!
Sometimes I worry, other-times the wit of some members has me laughing out loud.

Yes, I find it quite entertaining and informative, but some of these threads are like a Mad Comic book

Hmm, well you know I thought I understood the question at first, but than I started reading other peoples responses, so I'll just respond based on how I percieve the question.

1. Believer, and surprisingly that's not what brought me here.
2. Nope.
3. Nope.
4. Don't know what that is.
5. Don't know what that is either.
6. Yep, and that's actualy how I found ATS.
7. Most defijately not.

Hmm, why am I here?

Well, I'm here to learn, knowledge is power, and I have a Napolean complex.

Who told you that?
I am here for all but number 7, but as far as 7 goes I will dis-miss any quark or string theories post.
I find your input on all thread interesting and honest.

Who told me I had a Napolean Complex?

Well my friend said jokingly once something like "Man you're so power hungry you must have a Napolean Complex.", so I checked what it was, and decided I do basically have that.

Not that it bothers me though.

That is usually reserved for men who are short in height, but power hungry works just as well.
I admire some of the exploits of Napoleans, he was really a genius in battle, reminds me of Patton

My bottom line is to pass on what my son went through whilst in Iraq. Also to pass on what my friends three sons went through.

We have a lot of arm chair brigade among us that can cite certain things. yet they have not been there.
My bottom is line is as above..........................

BikerE, Thank you for your knowledge and perception!
Personal experiences are usually much more valuable than
ideology masquerading as knowledge and experience!

No need to bless me. Its all the soldiers out there who need that.

My son is now in Afghanistan for the next six months. Maybe Afghanistan will be the topic for future threads eh?

Pictures, stories, i got loads. Maybe some are not for ATS, but there is one story i posted after he get back from Iraq. Its among ATS somewhere, as are the pictures.

'Bump'
I think this thread deserves a bit more recognition.
It has a valid point that i think other members could benefit from.
