Do these researchers seriously believe there is only 1 universe????

Wow, what a painting! I'd never even heard of Dali until I just did a search on him after I read this. His art is amazing.

The above painting in particular is very interesting as it is almost identical to the diagram that was provided to show the shape of the Universe. Incredible.

Cheers.

You have evidence that suggests otherwise?

say we could get to the edge of the universe right? How would you know you were at the edge? If you did get there & know you were there, would you be able to go through it? If it were possible to penetrate it why would you possibly end up at the exact opposite point in the universe? Why wouldn't you just cross into another adjacent universe? If there were no adjacent universes what are we "floating" in?

There are like a bazillion questions you could ask & basically the answer to most of them is we don't know. But it's good to ask them all the same cos curosity might be the thing that gets us out there.

If there is an edge, it would be a four dimensional construct existing beyond our perception. I think the real question is, what happens when the edges touch?

I still rather like my idea proposed in this thread...
What if space isn't expanding?
It still needs a lot of tweaking and it would certainly help if I understood the mathematics needed, but in my opinion it just makes sense... four dimensionally that is.

Plato obscurely says the fifth Platonic solid, the dodecahedron, “...the god used for arranging the constellations on the whole heaven.”

“The dodecahedron was not widely taught,” said Gilbert. “It is the pure, spiritual lifeforce, and people were told to keep it hidden, as if it were misused, it could create terrible destruction.”

Gilbert indicated many scientists – including those with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration – now believe the earth is shaped like a dodecahedron,
Given this information, one of the nodes on the dodecahedron falls in the same area as the famous “Bermuda Triangle.”

“Using a dodecahedron on a world grid analysis, you’ll see the nodal points, pressure points in space and time,” said Gilbert. “Other nodal points on the earth have been known as ‘devil’s graveyards’ because space and time don’t work right.”

Modern scholars disregarded the idea of the Platonic solids until the 1980s, when Professor Emeritus Robert Moon at the University of Chicago demonstrated the entire periodic table of elements - everything known in the physical world - is based on these five forms.

“Moon worked on the Manhatten Project,” said Gilbert. “He discovered that the form for uranium is a double-dodecahedron. The periodic table is a revelation of the spirit - thoughts from the mind of God.”

Well it makes sense if when you come to the end you realise you are right back at the beginning again. Did you read the theory? If you reach the end of the Universe and went through, you would appear back into it at the opposite side. Thus there is nothing beyond it, it is a cycle like everything else in it. Did you read this? What's so silly about that?

Well.. what doesn't make sense is 'what's outside' this 'beginning and the end'. We can't get our head around it, bottom line.

It's intresting to think that the universe is infinite, and even if we could prove it it still doesn't change the afformentioned. What's outside the finite universe?

Soo.. the theory itself may not be silly but using it to impy the understanding of infinity' IS.
