Well, TPTB can monitor me all they want. That boring, thankless job is punishment enough for them.

About what? Me? Or your "feeling"? Honestly pal, you can't be crying to moderators all the time, especially since you just openly attacked or accused the board.

No, about the feeling. THat would be stupid if I told him about you?...

Is there a reason you can't share this with us? It would help me greatly in understanding why you're feeling as you do, rather than just thinking you're full of it :|

Well, a friend of mine had a disturbing dream about destructions, and an alien visited him. I will not mention the name, because I said that I wouldn't say who it was. But he had a dream an alien encountered him and showed him visions of desasters around the world...poachings, floods, hurricanes, burning buildings, etc... Now at the time while I was in school, I just suddenly got this feeling...that ATS was behind something, but not the mods..I'm talking about the gov who monitors the site.

So I believe that my friend and I were connected and I felt his emotions...so all in all, I got the wrong message...my mistake, but it's fine..I'm never going t post anything like this again. I'm not like this at all. Really.

Would it be safe to call your "vision" a hunch or perhaps a misinterperated feeling?

While William can monitor almost all of the server activity, it is possible to mask, I'm not sure how the ATS Servers actually handle masking, but I find it a slim to nill chance that the government that may or may not be here really care of it's existance.

As I made a statement in another thread, we barely get the icing on the cake here with these conspiricies there has to be something even deeper and darker than the black of black if you know what I mean.

Just try to do a little research next time about this, and check into people who have done things like this before you.

I've been here a very long time, and although I don't post much, I've seen the site evolve from a basic message board to a news service to a blog and podcasting host, and I can guarantee you that there is nothing to be worried about here. While providing thought provoking discussions, it is seen by the majority of those outside the site as too far off base to be a viable source of information (beleive me, I don't think that, it just seems to be the perception). Now, why would the government attempt to monitor, discredit, or otherwise interfere in something that the vast majority of the public wouldn't beleive in the first place? While I like reading (and occasionally posting) threads here, I don't beleive it to be something that is a 'thorn in the side' of the government... rather, it is just like any forum, a place for like minded people to gather and discuss things, rather than any concentrated anti-government effort that the PTB should monitor. Frankly, it just doesn't have that potential. What it does have the potential to do, however, is expose those interested in conspiracies to research and knowledge either confirming or denying the theory, more often the latter than the former. That has been going on forever, and is not something the government is in the buisness of stopping.

Well...see the thing is...is that my friend has never heard of La nina...and yet the alien said that to him in his dream. So...I think something will happen. But in the mean time. You will not be hearing bad posts from me. You will not be hearing criticism from me, and you will not be hearing shoving my beliefs down your throat. I just happened to have good experience with christianity one night, that changed my life. And well...everyone follows their own paths.

I guess you won't be posting in WoT then, that's all that anyone reads there.

whitelight, respectively. La Nina is the cooling of the Pacific Ocean, affecting conditions over the US and other North American Regions. It means the increase of severe thunderstorms in the midwest.

This has been tracked since January, we've been aware of it. The last time La Nina impacted was in 2000, so we were bound to have this happen again. La Nina is not a bad thing.

Whitelightwolf...

Speculate all you like about this site, or its admins and mods... but expect a sincere amount of defensivness considering the recent spate of mudslinging coming this way...

it wasn't always this way... but recently, there are some jeolous sites that have attempted to slam ATS...

this just seems to be the latest effort (per Valhalls response)

If this is a legitimate curiosity question, then i think you have the right to laugh along with the rest of us, because you AREN"T the person they think....

I have seen far stranger (with more responses) threads here, and this one will be something you can look back on as "early lessons" or if you are lucky, the board archive backups will break down, and give everyone an amnesty from previous "bad days" posts.

We have all had them...
we have all had strange thoughts and fears and paranoias...
we all have threads that we wish we didn't,
so i mean it when i say
welcome home darlin... pull up a chair and take a load off

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if "Big Brother" is watiching us...right now...as I type this...
They probably want to see what we say about them
See if we're well programed enough for them, the way we think.

I really am serious about that last thing I said, but what can they do about it? Track us down?

Seems to me, if you really feel this way, then there's only one thing you can do. Stay away from the board because they can't possibly convince you of anything different.

Maybe you should read the other comments. I know I do that all the time without reading the comments first... But there is a reason why I posted this by an accident. I'll just leave it at that. I am not a bad person just to let you know, and I will not be replying to this forum anymore.

Just had a quick look at this thread, I like the honesty of Whitelightwolf...... probably puts herself up for attacks, but either way, honest none the less.

I actually had a dream about ATS about 3 or 4 days ago...... it is nothing unusual really quite the same type of dreams, all sci-fi, related to experiences (memories), aliens, religious figures, anti-religious figures, some nightmarish type stuff etc.... but this one sort of got my nose out of joint...

Have a read if you like, it has to do with this thread

My ATS Dream

What I do know about the internet, is that its quite 'organised'...ie the way the traffic goes around the world...its not like a web, its more like a bottleneck in certain places.... a 'hub' is located at one of the largest ISP's in the USA..... even Aussie traffic goes to the USA before it reaches China/Russia/Korea etc... (well this was around 6 years ago, no idea what its like now).

When I was analysing quite an interesting virus/trojan/worm, called the QAZ, i was fascinated with the fact it was designed with a compiler that was not 'really' used elsewhere for trojans/worms etc... most at the time were VB script, delphi, Visual Basic, ASM etc... but this was...(well i can't actually remember it)..but what I do remember was that its mainly use in the Microsoft Programming Environment (that MS actually use it to program MS software) and I did end up reading an article later that others thought it was kinda strange too, and that the QAZ worm/trojan was invented by MS itself..... then out of NOWHERE......Microsoft said that its own servers where hacked with the QAZ..........aroudn the same time I also ended up being infected with the QAZ on my own computer (which buggered up my ego as I was quite protective and had big defences for such infiltration...was quite ANTI-VIRUS as you'd say).

So... I was really interested in this bloody thing.... It had the capability of an E-mail 'server'...however could never get passed the prompt, which meant it had its own PROTOCOL developed rather than the standard SMTP and POP3.....

So I decided to execute the thing on a lappie, and found that it sent data to CHINA (which apparently is where the hacker was from)...however i noticed something quite strange....... a trace route, actually went through a line straight from here....through to the USA........and then......STOP... It never went passed the USA ISP..... the traceroute ended pinging out, meaning the data never actually reached CHINA..but rather in the USA.....

So from my then knowledge of TCP/IP... it was POSSIBLE that an ISP had the capability of storing such data transmitted from a trojan/worm, especially that of QAZ as it was an e-mail type trojan/worm... and thus information used by whomever.....

So what I'm trying to say here, even though before I was into conspiracy theories.... I actually did think was quite strange...MS being hacked by it...Myself being infected by it (Not that i was targetted, but more so that i was very protective of my PC, yet it infiltrated it anyway, and it wasn't that smart of a trojan/worm to infect PC's anyway), the stories of MS actually creating it, and the fact the data never actaully reached CHINA anyway, it ended up in the USA....

So from this experience, (and I haven't done any research into it), I'd be interested to know the trace route to ATS.... whether there's a HUB along the way that is capable of mirroring the data sent to ATS before it even gets there.......

I would prefer ATS to use HTTPS:// just a tad more security to ease the minds of users thinking ATS can be comprimised...

Regular change of passwords..... etc.. etc... And be careful in using such words which I call 'Trigger' words.. I won't mention some here (even though i've read them on ATS)....... but I do know that even though there is a thing called a traceroute...... there also the monitoring of telephone lines by echelon, and voice recognition, fax recognition, and data recognition, (even encrypted) can be monitored anyway, doesn't matter if it comes from ATS or any other site....

So just use discernment, watch what you post, but I suggest to never attack the belief of other members.......they have a right to choose what they want to believe

Kind Regards
Merger

Yup!

Does the Gov look into ATS? Probably, I would if I were them. Free thinkers are those they don't already have under their thumbs.

Worry you? Not me. Trigger words? We all know them, Bush, bomb, etc. I'm not stressing the FBI, RCMP at my door. That's right, I'm Canadian but we also have the same protocols in place.

whitelightwolf, feel free to post as you see fit inside the T&C. No worries.

It does not matter if ATS is run by the government or not. (I think it is not)

The nature of ATS draws free-thinkers together. Although this board is full of total morons, it is a matter of finding the good stuff. There are a lot of smart people. Hopefully some will educate the rest.

I have learned a lot here on ATS, but I have had to ignore a lot of crap.

Wlw it's refreshing to have a person with your honesty. As near as I can tell the only thing hinky here at ATS is the people(me included) who post.
I have had nothing but positive experiences here with the 3 amigos(if ya don't count my capitalization problem).
And if you need a respite from the daily drudge as some have suggested well then 'mi casa su casa'. Just don't forget the SPF cause this Florida sun is already baking the asphalt.
