your predictions about when US troops will come home

Okay here is my prediction its in phases.


I think by next year we will see a decrease from 132,000 US Troops to about 90,000 then by 2008 there will be an Afghanistan level force in Iraq, in between 20 to 40,000 troops.

Then by 2009 we will be pretty much completly out except for a few instructors possibly helping with the formation of the Iraqi Air Force and Navy.



Also I think instead of leaving Iraq the other colation nations should stay there. Helping to draw US tropp strength down. Cause were the major prescence there, and compared to us the other nations have had relativly few causalties.

I believe U.S. troops will ALWAYS be there in Iraq (gotta protect America's interest after all).

I believe after this year (2006), it'll start to go down dramatically (that is, if nothing stupid happens to give Bush reason to keep them there). Parents can only take so much of this ridiculousness. Plus its not financially sound to keep that many troops over there this late in the game, but haha when has anything ever worried Bush financially, look at the national debt..

They are not comming home. They are going to be moved.

Long Deployment

We still have troops in Germany, Japan and Korea, and that's been a while.

Maybe not in Iraq, but the signs suggest that more troops will be needed overseas, not fewer.

I'm not happy about that, but there are reasons why it must be so.
