WWIII would actually be good for us?

I'm not someone looking to pick a fight or wanting to see blood. I'm a very kind person in my own oppinion.

But seeing our children in school, the minor wars, the suffering, poverty etc. Earth doesn't look like the particular place I would go take my vacation if I was an alien.

So i've read a few prophecies and most of them end up saying that after the great wars and when everything is destroyed by a comet, everything will become better than ever... "A universal awakening" for the human race.

So my question to you is: Do you think that a World War 3 would actually be good for us? I believe that it will be extremely good for us because we are simply destroying the world, and what better way is there to build up a war which kills 75% of all sinful people, and to top it all off, a comet hits us and takes out another 20%. Of course, we need to bear in mind that there will be innocent casualties, but would you be willing to give yourself as a sacrifice to the war, to save the world? Or to accept your loved ones to be sacrifices. I would (after alot of thinking).

lol, there's no possible way to know the percentage of "sinful" people would be killed. What if your definition of sinful is different from everyone else's?

If the world is destroyed, things would only get WORSE. Much WORSE.
I can't even think of one scenario where the world would get better. Instead of fighting on a large scale people would just fight on a smaller scale. They would also have MUCH more to fight about. Not only will people be fighting to regain whatever power void there is, since natural resources will be scarce, people would be fighting over food, water, land, etc. as well.
If you think the suffering and poverty is bad now, then you definately don't want to see what the world is like post-destruction.

Like the old saying goes, things have to get worse before they get better.
The native Americans refer to it as a time of 'cleansing', and believe that this occurs periodically.

It certainly wouldn't be better for those of us around now, at least not in the short term, but complete destruction seems to be the only way for the current immoral power structure of the world to be replaced.

Second coming anyone?

It would depend, you have to remember that the "old wars" were fought much differently. In WWII people helped one another, and war had RULES TO ABIDE BY. Anymore, anyone would just break them if they had the guts to do it and defend themself.

Technology now is literally too "scary" to go into a tactical world war. Things after world war 2 got hairy, with the nuclear weaponry. My opinion is, no, it would only make matters worse, and people just question when someone will decide to jump in.

@ThatsJustWeird: I don't have a definition, it was only a thought I had in mind.

So the worlds pretty much doomed? What a nice place to live in... So can anyone give me a scenario on how the world could get any better? Beside the fact that we should all just be helpful to eachother etc.

The end of one civilization leads to the eventual formation of another.

To have a First Coming would be nice.

Either having this and many other planets dissolved into Light, as the Spirit Guide, Emmanuel, predicts will happen...

Or...

To partake in a global spiritual revolution.

There really is no in-between.

Make things better!?! I suppose that would all depend on who wins...or rather who loses the least.

There are no winners. If the side that wants freedom for everyone wins, well then its pretty much obvious (unless they screw up and get couped by some other NWO team and then we end up where we started)

If the bad guys win... Those who are agianst the system will get stopped. But eventually if all goes to hell, after a few thousand years things SHOULD come together, just this time with different rules and ways.

If your asking if we need a War in order to have peace (the order out of chaos theory)...well those who believe in that, then yes.

On the other hand, no you dont need a disaster to bring about peace.
But think of your own personal experiences and you will find that through hard times comes the refining of the self. So one could then argue again that after a "tramatic" time for the earth, the age of enlightenment will come.

I think its like Eckhart said, and even Shaumbra...old energy vs. new.
Some need one way, others will not have to go through the suffering of their ancestors in order to grow spiritually.

Gods Peace

Belief plays a factor to be sure.

The reason why there would have to be a revolution and/or obliteration is simply because the "powers that be" (incarnate and discarnate) are largely corrupt. That is the crux of the situation. They are not going to just harmoniously gravitate to a higher level of consciousness, but fight with all their might to keep the power, money and influence they have now, and increase it if they can.

It has always been that way for the corrupt and powerful

For the spiritually conscientious, hard times do in fact refine the soul.

Aristotle has been quoted as follows: "It is the mark of an intelligent mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." That is what this forum is, and should be, about. Regarding war, nobody ever wins. As long as mankind has existed there have been wars. Sadly, man has a short memory and has not learned the folly of war. With WWII sixty years in the past there are many who claim the Holocaust never occurred; that man could not be that evil. So, unless man changes, war will always be with us. War will never be a solution.

I agree totally agree, however sometimes war is the last solution. You have to remember, we don't fight a war because we like to, its because there are people who cannot come to an argreement...

Theres no point to this anymore, I accept that I was wrong. War doesn't solve anything, but it doesn't make it worse either, it just leaves you back where you started.

Whilst I sit here in a comfortable place knowing that if WW3 breaks out I will be the last person to be affected by it, it still saddens me that if it did happen, not only would the internet go down, but that most of you guys posting here will be dead.

I would also miss the development in computing, The next season of Lost, and the exploration of Mars.

If the board was still functioning, if the server its hosted on was not destroyed and the net connections still functioned, I think the last dying action of admin should be to promote me to admin as well so I could roam the empty halls of ATS at will and post threads that I would not have to worry about offending anyone.

Actually Volitile, upon reflection if you consider that the world will be improved by the death of the humans in it then surely the logical outcome would be to kill yourself and remove your presence from the world? Think globally, act locally....

When you start to think of it like that it makes the entire concept seem a little like a bad joke, doesn't it?

First of: Would you want me to call them the "bad guys" instead of sinners

No. It's the same thing as saying "sinners" Who are the good guys? Who decides?

ATS is filled with people who yearn for the "end". Their lives are unfulfilled, they don't have any meaning, they feel in an apocalyptic scenario they could be the the person they were always meant to be.

I sometimes feel that an event which would dramatically change our priorities would be good for us all, good and bad, sinner and saint. We spend so much of our lives trying to live up to an ideal, an ideal which is mostly based on having stuff. We waste years climbing corporate ladders so that we can continue to be fulfilled by stuff. In the process our tiny lives waste away, our children are neglected and the QUALITY of our lives keeps ever decreasing.

Without stuff, without wealth, our lives would be so much better.

In anycase one day we will ALL have our very own apocalypse to face, stop wasting time , live your life, love your family, and let go of the stuff.
