The British Army had a reported strength of 103,780 in October 2004 [1], including approximately 7,600 women. The Royal Navy had a strength of 36,810 and is in charge of the United Kingdom's independent strategic nuclear arm, which consists of four Trident missile submarines, while the Royal Marines provide commando units for amphibious assault and for specialist reinforcement forces in and beyond the NATO area. The Royal Air Force had a strength of 49,280 - though this figure is set to be reduced by as much as a fifth by the end of the decade. This puts the total number of serving personnel at around 190,000 (not including civilians). This number is supported by reserve forces, including over 35,000 from the Territorial Army.

I just like the fact that France was listed as a choice. Is there something I don't know about their military might?
I'd have to rank them right up there with the Dutch. Sorry, I'm not trying to insult the Dutch.

Just saying you couldn't compare either military to the likes of USA, China, Russia. Not trying to put one or the other down. It's just kinda out there to put them on the list. I guess it depends on what all entails the French military now that Europe is unified. That may have some implications to military might.
