I am definitely not a Bush supporter, far from it. However, the fact that he said "There's no question that Saddam Hussein had Al Qaeda ties." In September 2002, he said, "You can't distinguish between Al Qaeda and Saddam." But Bush also said two weeks ago, "We have no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the Sept. 11." does not make it false.

Saddam very well could have ties with Al Qaeda, but not be involved in Sept. 11. Al Qaeda functions on several levels and is undoubtedly at task on numerous initiatives, so it is quite possible that Saddam had no link to Sept. 11. I bet he wishes he had though.

Notice how when Newsmax claim poll information they never actually tell us how they poll or where they are polling, If they are polling their viewers they are naturally going to get very pro-america flag-waving voting bias, I have seen so much bull on that site that i now have it listed under humour.

The links between Saddam and al-qaeda were slim. The evidence comprises of one meeting between one Iraqi Intelligence Officer and one al-qaeda operative, once.

The CIA has interacted with thousands of Islamic militants over the last couple of decades, no doubt many were members of al-qaeda.

As far as 9/11, I think we all know that the Saddam connection is nonesense, the evidence for this connection is none, it comprises only of Donald Rumsfeld claiming the day after the attacks before he had seen any evidence regarding the attackers, "It was Iraq, lets get Saddam"

Is one of the most respected journalist in th business, has been a thorn in the side of EVERY president who deserved one over her very long and distinguished career, regardless of party, and has been spot on with Bush since his mismanagement days at the state level.

Copcorn: learn the board, at least this forum: Newsmax/Rense/New Republic/Drudge - NONE are accepted as viable news sources and definetly not respected as qoute/reference worthy.
