Anyone have info on the Illinois UFO sighting on Jan. 5th 2000,,its on discovery channel

6 eyewitnesses, 4 of which were cops saw this thing and said it was the size of a football field ..arrowhead shape .towns were lebanon, highland, millstadt, shiloh...story is crazy ..anyone else know about this and have any; info ..thanks...im watchin some ufo stuff i recorded a few nites ago on Tivo..the next one im watchin is about aliens are in control of human life..

when is somebody gonna get some really good up close footage of a UFO ..that will put all this to rest..as far as i know..there is no such aircraft that is as big as a football field..right??

I remember that the Peter Jennings special had a segment on this incident. I do remember the story, it is fascinating since I live in St Louis MO. St Louis is app 20 to 30 miles from Milstadt. The only thing to remember is that Scotts Air Force base is in St Clair county in Illinois. This is also very close to Milstadt. Have you done a web search?

It has a map showing that the flight went right over Scotts Air Force Base. Millstadt and the rest are in St. Clair County in Illinois.

still watching the show..some video company that helps give presentations for courtrooms did the investigation and animated everything superimposed on the exact areas where it was seen..and the cops and other 2 eye witnesses all said that the video footage created looks like what the saw..its crazy...air force base

I still drive just inside the state of illinois from Kansas City 5 nights a week. I used to drive right past Scott Air Force Base on I-64. I've had some good sightings around that area. Some were more than just sightings. The sightings were accompanied by voices I could hear in my head. It is stuff I don't repeat. The information was preceeded by the statement, "You shall know." It wasn't intended for the masses. But I can tell by some of the stuff I heard that it had all been heard before.

A History Channel special was aired in June titled "UFO Over Illinois." This documented a multiple-witness UFO sighting in Illinois just east of St. Louis, MO. This is on the web on myspace at:

If you plot the sightings on a map of the area, like Google Earth, you will find interesting information that is not in the documentary. The sightings fit a spiral toward the Cahokia mound complex. Now this may seem to be a simple coincidence, but I wonder. Cahokia is the major center of a indigenous American culture that stretched from Minnesota to Florida. Now this gives us an insight into these UFO sightings, not that it gives us a comfortable one. Let me state it clearly: There really were, and still are, nonhuman powers on earth that seek to interact with humanity. They once interacted with humanity as gods, and many of the mysterious aspects of ancient cultures are the result of this interaction.

They STILL interact with humans, and one way they interact is causing humans to misunderstand science and think materialism is science. They are currently trying to get humans to think that there are extraterrestrials visiting earth, and there is no omnipotent, personal God. These powers want to keep humans under their subjection and do not want them to be free. They know they can keep humans down if they think science requires that God does not act in the world. That way, if they can make humans think that there are no unknown forces acting, humans will never be able to make any real progress toward understanding the universe. They will give the humans the illusion that humans are in control, but it will actually be THEM controlling humanity. This illusion just winds up feeding human pride and encouraging all of the vilest human passions.--ufo
