Has anyone had any UFO sightings in New England?

I havent heard about any recent ufo sightings around the northeast. Share any encounters you have had.

New England has many sightings but I dont recall a "big" event since Betty and Barney way back when.

Last signifigant event was I believe May of '05. What the media had dubbed a "meteorlogical event" was enough to scramble police from 6 departments in RI into chasing the object.

Fire and rescue were sent by one department for what they believed was a downed airplane and several officers who have military background gave statements that the object was dropping cylindrical objects connected to parachutes.

Most bizarre is that one of the departments received a call from NORAD after the incident.

I dont claim to know what it was as I did not see it but it spooked alot of veteran officers.

Funny you should mention this...

A friend of mine came to visit and she said she swears she saw a UFO. Now, this is a person who doesnt beleive in anything like this.
At first i didnt know what to think, but she said she saw it clearly. This was within the last week and a half.
It was also broad daylight. She was standing outside waiting for her son to catch a ride to Cape Cod, at the time she was in Milford, Ma.

I beleive her- like i said, she frowns on anything having to do with UFO's.

NO i have not

I haven't seen anything but would be interested in those who have seen UFO recently.

I've heard that NH is quite the hotbed for sightings as well. The Natl registry has many sightings listed for the New England states.

NH has had some frequent activity over the last year.

I live very close to Milford. When did this happen? Do you have any additional details?

There was another thread some time ago in which I commented on a series of reported sitings in Plymouth, MA in what was called 'The Pine Hills'. This area is about a mile inland from the nuke plants and significantly up-slope terrain wise and used to be a winding road through the woods (it's all developed now). Anyway, I moved there in the late 70's and heard from a number of 'locals' that during the construction of the first nuke plant several people had sightings of strange 'humanoid' creatures when driving through the Pine Hills at night.
