Freaky thing happened to me

When I was around 14-15 i lived with my grandmother because my grandfather was working the graveyard shift. My room was in the basement, which was a freaky place to begin with.

One night i was in bed watching T.V. when all of a sudden I wasn't able to see anything or move. It felt as if someone or something was holding me down. My entire body went numb. I tried to yell but couldn't make any noise. After a minute or two i was able to see again, but was still unable to move except for my eyes.

I started looking around the best i could but my T.V. was turned off. Then I heard "can you see us yet?" This scared the crap out of me, so I started looking around even more. Now directly across from my bed, about 30-40ft from the foot of my bed was a cubby hole that was probably 10ft wide and maybe 4ft tall. I could not see anything but i knew that something was in there looking out at me. I sensed at least 8 figures around my bed but could not see anything.

When i was finally able to move again i jumped out of bed and ran up stairs out the front door and next door to my parents house. A few minutes later my grandmother called the house to see why I had ran out of the house in just my underwear. After my parents told her what happened she kinda chuckled about it and that was it.

The next day when i had my dad go get my stuff because i refuse to enter the basement again(even today) my grandmother started telling me stories about the things she had seen and heard in the house. Which freaked me out even more.

Can anyone help me in trying to figure out what happened to me?

Any help would be nice, i have been trying to figure this out for almost 15 years now.

I'm definately not a professional on this topic, but I would like to add that it seems like you suffered Sleep paralysis. I hope some people can add more information into what you may have experienced, as I have had similar happenigns to me.... and it'll make you see, no matter what people say, what you saw is what you saw.

Thanks for the reply. After reading another thread i was wondering if it was sleep paralysis that happened. What ever it was scared the crap out me. Thanks again.
