I just would like a little feedback, if you don't mind, before I tell you the reason for asking:

Look at your hands with palms facing up. Looking at your little (pinkie) finger, I have 3 segments and 2 creases/joints, whatever, on each hand...

3 segments, 2 creases

What do you have?

Thanks

I have 3 segments and 5 creases.

Now, can you please explain your reasons for asking.

Thanks

Thanks,

I knew I was too vague....

By creases I mean the lines that correspond to the joints ie: 2 joints 2 creases.

There is something strange about my hubby....

Am obviously wasting my time.

It's not a trick, I've researched this, and found no answers.

Ok, was hoping for a better response, but oh well, since you're rushing me:

EVERYONE I know has 3 segments, and 2 creases EXCEPT my hubby.

When my daughter was born and everything was OK the first thing I checked were her little fingers - 3 segments, 2 creases.

When my son was born - 3 segments, 2 creases.

My hubby has 4 segments and 3 creases and after the birth of my son I asked the paediatrician and he was stumped!

So, I thought I'd bring it up on here where I thought I would be able to get at least a few responses from a wider area of people

Thanks anyway, Sanctum

So your hubby and children have 4 bones in their little fingers?

I'm just trying to get this straight

All my fingers have 3 segments and 3 creases. I am also counting the crease or jioint that also connects to my hand, that allows my finger to move as a whole. . I think that is normal on everyone...

I know a guy who has only 2 segments. He is missing the top segment of his fingers, so has no nails. The tips of his fingers indent in, like plungers. I guess this is a birth defect. He also has a huge head, and is about 4 feet 11 inches tall , so kids make fun and call him an ET ! If your husband has an extra segment, or joint, then he may just have a birth defect.

Maybe you should look on palm reading sites, to see images of hands and creases

Please share with me if you, your husband or kids have a VERY short pinkie compared to normal, discounting any segments, etc.
IOW, the little fingers so short as to look very abnormal?

So your kids are normal but your husband as an extra joint, which makes his finger look long ?

EDIT to say If you are asking me if the short plunger-finger person is my husband ? NO ! This is just a guy we know. My husband is 6 feet tall and has normal hands.

Finger abnormalities are quite common. I have friends with 6 fingers and toes. Some people even have webbed hands or feet. If your husband has an extra joint in his pinky it is just genetic drift (minor mutation) and not anything to be overly concerned about. Smile, and be glad we are all unique in many ways.

Thanks for the responses.

My hubby has 4 segments and his little fingers are long(er).

My children have 3 segments like me, and everyone else I know.

Siriuslyone, why do you ask if they are very short?

I have tried looking at variuos websites over the years but have drawn a blank everytime. Just wanted to know if anyone else was like hubby??

BTW he is one of five children and they are not like him? Idk.....
