Ok, when you see her at home, she has women around, and non of them usually wearing much. When she had to get a body replacement she brought one of her friends who picked up a picture and said "What I could do to that body."

And apparently her most prized possession, the watch, was given to her by a woman.

My theory? Not a woman, but that the Major is a male in a female model because that model is the only model that the watch fits.

I got bored and this came to mind, why I have no idea. I should be doing much more productive things.

I don't remember where or when, but I think I saw Bato ask the Major about that, and I got a distinct feeling from the conversation that she was actually a he.

Although if you give the capability to switch genders, the genders really fall apart in their meaning.
