We are fighting a war "against terrorists and all nations that aid or support them". Why arent we in Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia etc, how we singled out Iraq, which I agree should have been invaded ...and left so many other terrorist havens alone baffles me. The entire middle east is riddled with muslim fundamentalist freaks, I feel we should be fully prepared for a nuclear event on the continental US in the very near future by one of these muslim finatical groups, and in response to that I would initiate a full US nuclear strike against the middle east in its entirety.

you can't touch Iran and we didn't have anything to do with 9/11, infact all of the hijackers were Saudi-Arabian so what do persians have to do with this?.

Plenty of Christian and Jewish fundamentalist freaks in the good ol' USofA, and they have plenty of shiny nukes already. A nuke incident within the continental USA sure would be a blessing for some though. Hell, Bunnypants would order a military lockdown in a blink and suspend the elections. They'd then have an excuse to go drop some of those shiny bombs and missiles on the accused (evidence not required) whilst the sheeple all cheer their leader and wave their little made-in-China flags

You know, I was just about to mention the same thing. Why is it that Saudi Arabia is untouchable when the family of Saud is not a pious rule at all, yet allow terror to be fostered within their borders.
I think they are viewed with contempt in Arabia and we, showing allegiance to them, are viewed with even more contempt because of this.

Oh, don't get me wrong, Iran is still a country wirth a dangerous government and they have supported terror for a long time, now, but the house of Saud is a target that should not have been ignored.

THE United States will allocate $US5 million to finance the Syrian opposition, the State Department said overnight, two days after announcing a similar initiative for the Iranian opposition.

The State Department said in a statement that it will give the money "to accelerate the work of reformers in Syria."
The money would come from the department's Middle East Partnership Initiative, it said.

The grants "will build up Syrian civil society and support organizations promoting democratic practices such as the rule of law; government accountability; access to independent sources of information; freedom of association and speech; and free, fair and competitive elections," the statement said.

The State Department announced on Wednesday that it would seek $US75 million dollars to step up efforts, through extra broadcasts and other activities, to influence democratic change in Iran.

everything thats happening now , is just a prelude to the bigger things to come .

and we all know its just a matter of time before the nukes start flying.

i guess its safe to say from your statement that your anti christian and jewish ??.
Funny , when is the last time christians and jews burned down embassy's and threaten to kill people over a cartoon ???.

Yeah! I'm British.
The people with the nukes are our own governments and the shady people behind them that hold the power. I don't trust them one little bit and have nothing but contempt for them.
I wouldn't say I'm anti-Christian or anti-Jew, but was pointing out that there are fundamentalists in all camps. They don't have to burn Embassies to prove their existence.

I don't fear a nuclear incident at the hands of Islam but I do fear a nuclear incident at the hands of the crazies in my own land and across the pond.
What's so bizarre about that?

I agree there are crooks in the goverment , well in the US gov anyways .

i wont comment on the brit gov , cause im not brit and i dont live there.
and i dont keep up with whether the brit gov is crooked or not .

anyways i agree with the US gov part , I think that atleast 99% of the US gov are made up of people who could care less about the American people.

we all know that Politicians are in it for power and not your well being .

as for Nuke war , I dont think We or the Brits would start a nuke war.
thats just my opion .

In my opion - i would think that a middle east country may start a nuke war.
for various reasons . that i wont bother to point out .

but thats just my opion .... hopefully it wont come down to that .

Well then let me clear that up for you, you’re wrong

Your straight forward simple interpretation of things is not how the real world works. So hold your nukes please, there are other means by which to influence change. And I agree with the other poster, most of your scenarios are unrealistic especially the nuclear scenario.

Let us not allow our bias to drag us off into side discussions, huh?

I am a proud US citizen, and Islamic faith has been badly tarnished by a fundamentalist Islamic generation that seeks the destruction of what they consider to be a satanic western civilization. Very unfortunately i feel that the fundamentalist Islamic separatist philosophy is far more of a majority representaion. I am personally non-religious, Islam represents 1 billion people, and specifically the middle east is a hotbed for this separatist factional philosphy. The most unfortunate thing is our national ignorance regarding basic economic facts including we import more oil from Canada than from the entire middle east, also that Canada has more oil reserves than the entire middle east combined. So the idea that we havnt irradiated the entire region because they give us so much oil is fallacious, we havnt nuked the middle east because in general we are a moral society.

its bound to happen . I didnt give a date or time or anything .

Could be 100 yrs from now for all i know .

As for the Topic at Hand - I do believe , that Syria and Iran will be dealt with.
Will we invade them ? .. Doubtful ... Hopefully all the issues will be resolved peacefully.

But "IMOP". i dont think it will be a peacefull soloution . I hope im wrong .

Agreed, sooner or later they will have to be dealt with unless they reform themselves. It wont happen now though, in my opinion Iran will be attacked but not for the purpose of regime change. As for Syria, well, they have been pretty quiet lately so I think for now political influence is the way to go with them.
