Often I Ponder (a poem)

Often I ponder
As I go through this life
Thank God I've emerged
A product of strife

I never could feel
The way I do now
If I hadn't been challenged
Then beaten, and cowed

To reach out again
With a hope that won't die
To search for the heart
Of a faith that won't lie

To find in myself
What I've needed for so long
The strength to go on
And the will to be strong


May the healing power of the Holy Spirit come to us all in our time of need. I am humbled and thankful for the inspiration I receive.
