Revealing Truth Behind Revelations

Jagd I would never damage a book or consider that it should be altered just because of how I or anyone else interprets it. Which for the record is in all probability much different that what you may consider the proper way (that sort of thinking for me never comes to mind).

And that is the thing; the bible and its contents are subject to interpretation and are not really specific enough. To treat any particular conclusion as the
best beyond any shadow of doubt.

A good example is with respect to Revelations and the matter of the 200,000-man army, the meaning behind the four horsemen and the idea that the Universe as we understand it will de destroyed.

There are so many different interpretations to the book that am pretty sure I can come up with ten distinct ones on the internet (yes including that aliens are responsible).

Any thoughts?

If one considers most of the contemporary Bible
as being manipulated, abused and/or contrived
by those wishing to 'make it real,' then we must
consider this: We must find comfort in our own,
inner connection as humans being in spirit and flesh.

You know, there's an old saying that I think applys to predicting the future. "If you throw enough mud at a wall, some of it is going to stick." So many people have said so many things about the future that, of course, some of them are going to come true. Also, the bible is open to interpretation, problem is, everyone has a different interpretation. What version of the bible are you using? King James, Latin, Hebrew, Contemporary translations? Alot can be lost or added when changing languages.

Plus the Bible is a work of fiction.

That is a very relevant fact with respect to the Book of Revelations, its a justification for war.

The events of 9/11 happened not only in the Spider-man Comics but throughout the marvel univere. There are also many other historical facts found in these comics. Should we regaurd these works as truth too?

I must've misunderstood you Billybob. I too believe that the bible is a form of cultural brainwashing that has been changed over the years to suit the controling factions needs. Sorry about that.

the whole mythos we live in has been steered. there is much truth in all religions. use your compassion to determine what's true, and what's just a sales job.

you see, in order for the religion to carry on for centuries, it had to be mostly true. the "devil" is in the details.

each of us will believe what we believe. you can't force someone to conform to your version of reality. we can find common ground, though, if we have a coalition of the willing.

I will try to answer your questions sorry but I did not see your post before.

First how to link the present to the past, not easy for us that is for sure. But consider this, the present is the same as the past at some perspective. At that reference there is perfect linking otherwise it is less well connected

Second based upon the information I posted they would say that revelations is true because it was dictated by the dark side.

The new testament is only a third true but which parts? I like to believe that what is attributed to Christ as what he said is true.

If you testify with others and it is true in your heart eg. your intent, then it would be true with god I would believe.

The creator is true because from the dark came light, with light being all that we know. Thus true for us.

A choice is valid based upon intent and a false veil when based upon vain hope or selfish desire.

Many have considered what we discuss here but not necessarily in the same contrapraneous fashion.

The truth is what sounds best until we come up with a better idea or we actually find a way to prove something.

The truth should not be what we can prove only at any given time.
