I saw this the other day and its just getting ridiculous now. I can't wait for UKTV Gold to show 'Carry On Up The Kyber' again (I think its that one), where they keep on saying 'Mustaffa Peeeeeeee! Wow, I didn't realize that Muslim men were so sensitive as to feel hurt and anguish over the name of an inflateable doll. Perhaps a list of things offensive could be published then we all double check the list daily and all be politically correct of course, we wouldn't get much done cause we wouldn't want to offend anyone. Please people lets worry about more important things and practice a little tolerance.

How in gods name were they to know the name "Mustapha" was going to offend anyone?

Why don't they just get it over with and compile a list of offensive acts and words?

You guys simply do not understand the Islam relgion. Muslims treat their religious belief even on a more significant level than their lives, just because most Westerners don't give a crap about what other people say about Jesus or God anymore, doesn't mean the Muslims don't.

Naming a doll with a religious name is one thing, but naming it on a scatological adult toy, especially to such an highly strict and disiplined religion where gambling and even alchohol are prohibited, you are sure to cause major offense to an extensive level.

I tell you, it's getting so that a Muslim can't even go into a porn shop without getting offended. Oh these trying times.

This is the kind of appeasement bull# that has to stop. It makes the situation worse by making the west appear weak of heart and mind. Dont talk about being sensitive to foreigners needs, theres only so far I am willing to go not to offend someone. In MY country the ideals and sensibilities of Americans are the only ones I really care about. Even here everyone offends way too easily. I tried the whole appeasement respect foreigners beliefs, but when they try and dictate our free speech, and change our ways of life the buck stops there. The name obviously had no religious intent in the first place but was rather a play-on-words. If they dont like it, they dont have to see it. Its simple.

I heard that in some parts London they were calling Christmas The Winter Festival, so as not too offend muslims. I Don't think it was the muslims who called for this biyt some stupid PC group.

Face it, the Muslims and Middle Eastern communities have been discriminated in North America and Europe ever since the 911 caused by the radical groups, while the majority are the ordinary peaceful folks having nothing to do with the American so-called "terrorist activities". Do you geniunely believed the sex doll was named innocently by random chance picked in a book? Funny i don't ever see anything like that named after a Budhist god, Shinto goddesss, or whatever other religious figures there are.

The Muslims were mocked, being picked on and mistreated in foreign lands misconcepted as dealings with Middle Eastern terrorists, they have no alternative but to tolerant, but by offending their religion it is going over the line and they had to do something.

Let's realy take a look at the name that was used that is causing so much trouble. The name of the doll is Mustafa Shag does anyone here remember the Austin Powers movies? Must not or everyone would have picked up on what the name stands for. To Translate for those of you who may not be familiar with the movies:
Mustafa Shag = Must have a Shag (Sex). I am very certain that the manufacturer as well as the store's owner meant the above translation. The name Mustafa is an unfortunate (as well as not a well known alias of Muhhamed).
