This is another "local" topic and hopefully there will be some people here on ATS who can shed some light on this.

Officially there has never been any nuclear weapons stored in norway, but I have been told that there is a secret (?) base in the middle of Hardangervidden that has one or more nuclear weapons. They are just not fully assembled (and thus they could store them there without breaking the official anti nuke policy) but can be put together in about 2 hours.

Now I've been googling a bit but I can't find anything on this exact topic. Anyone else heard anything related or similar?

Oh I forgot to mention that there has already been some fuss in the media about norway making parts used in nuclear weapons. I think they were sold to Israel, but I can find some sources if anybody is interested.

Hello!

As you are probably aware of, the base called "kjeller" used to have an atomic reactor that leaked spillwater out in the local watersupply.
What we have not been told, is why we need gear for using nuclear materials at that scale in norway. Officially, we aint doing anything nuclear.

As for a base in Hardangervidda, i am not certain. There is on the other hand a lot of empty space in our country, thus making great sites for a small base. I mean, with our "official" army, we couldnt defend ourselves against anything whatsoever. And with Russia as our neighbour, we better have a card or ten hidden up our sleeves. Just saying, i think we have alot more gear than what we let everyone else believe.
