I really hope this place stays protected

Its amazing how unafraid the creatures are. Its almost like going back in time before we existed

What I didn't notice in the article was any mention of top predators, such as snakes, cats etc.
I don't know what animals/predators would be indigenous to that area but you would think there would be obvious signs of something considering the abundance of food available to your run of the mill predator

I noticed that also, however, I think the researchers were in a rather small area, and did not travel far, it is hard to imagine what might lurk in this area, It would be great to know, but It would also be great if nothing was disturbed.

I can see this happening in zoo's worldwide.

Its horrible that this place will inevitably be turned into a place where the rich and famous can have a wild experience. I think that the UN should make this place a no-go zone comercially and leave it to scientists and specialists to do what they need and then leave.

Really strange how they could not have been to any of these areas, I mean come on, someone must have gone to check out places like that, for so many years they have not seen that. Quite strange in a way.

I wouldn't say so. How is that any stranger than America not being able to find a single Arab riding a camel (camel jocky) with all their "advanced" technology? (I'm refering to Osama Bin laden for those of you who can't figure that out). The thing is, humanity is not all that smart regardless of what we may think. New things and places are always being discovered. I can't say that I'm surprised at all, it's just interesting how these animals are so different becasue of not encountering humans. It really is the closest thing we've ever found to the Garden of Eden.
