Can't access a thread

The thread that I am talking about is this one,

Last to post wins!

Whenever I open it, I press the red triangles to go to the last post, but when I do now it says this,


Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2072329 bytes) in /home/abovetopsecret/public_html/forum/functions.php on line 241

I can open all the pages on the thread except the last one, which is the 53rd. Anyone know what's going on? To my knowledge, I've posted on the thread asking the same thing, put I don't know if it did post or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is working for me, but i had the same problem with all of the threads the other day. I am not shure what it could be, maybe another attack on ATS?

Please help! It's gone again. Everyone else is having the same problem as well.

It seems fine to me, try closing you explorer and deleat the cookies then try again.

Didn't work. Ah well, I'm sure SO can help. At least, I hope he can.

a member posted about 1000 of these in one post and many others in other posts. I can get to the last page but it takes several tries after you get into the thread. A mod has locked down that thread, but I would guess that it would be better for someone to go in and fix those posts to take some load off the servers.

I know, I heard. I hope they can save it, maybe delete the whole page of threads or something.

I'm sorry. I'm old and I have no idea what seige towers and post x are, at least as they apply to the internet.

I cannot even guess but here is an example. The post is wider than my screen shot and when I put the browser at the top of the post and scroll down, it takes about twenty seconds to get to the end of the post. Does that give you a hint? There is also one that goes laterally out so far my browser hangs up when I try to scroll out that far. It's a big mess. Admins are working on it now. This may make Serpo and Titor seem like small potatoes in the forum prank department.

to be precise, i posted two large posts, the first I am not sure of, but it was still loading. the second were about 0.8 million pictures. that killed it, as far as I know.
