As far as me joining the Navy, if you know ANYTHING at all about american history, the navy was in some pretty hellish battles. And I was in the air wing, not a boat chug anyways.

Right, see the concept is we arn't forced into the military, which by the way the pay sucks, the food sucks and the off time is pretty crappy. We have to volenteer for that lifestyle. Murdering Mercs? lol that's a good one.

How many? probably the same. I didn't go to school after the military. I came out, did some crappy jobs, found a company that was willing to give me a start and worked from there.

US military recruits a lot in poorer parts of Large US cities. They send a high ranked official with a few soldiers carrying big guns and driving cool expensive military vehicules and they sell the idea of turning poor young mens, white and colored alike, from kids with no future to american heroes.

Then they break down these kids at the military training center, they then feed them amphetamines (or its commercial name, benzedrin) and give them weapons. To make it even easier for those poor kids, they even give them military tanks that you move around Using Playstation 2 controllers, something these kids know very well how to use. No wonder they # up in irak and no wonder they unload tons of ammo and bombs on everything that moves.

Sure the world seems dark and dangerous right now, ugly stuff is going on and the US administration, current and past, has a lot to play in it. No need to blame the american population for that though. The average american cannot possibly change anything at whats going on right now. Sure the american citizens own a lot of weapons themselves and could very well attemp to start a revolution and overthrow their current government but if they do they know very well they would get killed by the same kids on amphetamines mentionned before.

I believe that it will eventually all crash and end into a bloodbath throughout the world. I also believe that is quite necessary for our evolution as a civilization. We have come to a point where our current structure and administrative model, the way we use and exploit our ressources, has reached a limit and, at our current scale, cannot provide enough ressources to sustain its existence. A crash of the current system is in order to start a new one from scratch, using technology as a foundation instead of a finality.

So bring it on, 2012, earthquakes, tsunamis, all out nuclear war, anything thats cause enough damage to the current system to make it crash.

If you offered somebody $1000 it would be working,

Definition :
1. To perform or offer to perform a service of one's own free will.
2. To do charitable or helpful work without pay: Many retirees volunteer in community service and day care centers.

So even if the food isnt as good as your used to (and we know Americans like there food eh) and you actually have to do some hard work, the armed forces are not volunteers.

I dont hate every american at all, just the majority like you. People who dont realise they have much more then most of the world, and have done little in the way of earning it (on a national scale, not just yourself).

And as far as you hating me, you don't even know me, I jumped in because I took offence to you calling all americans fat and lazy and living on the high hog which some over here may be, but that's not all of us. I was actually well recieved in Haifa, Jebel Ali, Dubai, Ireland, greece, france of all places, England and actually have pictures of my friends I met over there...all over the place, I'm not a bad guy or a money grubbing american or anything, I just don't like to be generalized that I'm driving daddys car in some nice suit or something when the reality is that I run the computer department at the Norwell Visiting Nurses Association. The decline in the US economy has nothing to do with dropping the gold standard. Many countries have done this. This new kind of money is called "fiat money", where value is strictly an illusion. It's so obvious...Iran is being railroaded into being the villian in this show so that the United States can "steal more OIL". Nope...they aren't attempting to build atomic weapons in violation of the Nuclear Non-proliferation treaty, of which I believe they are a signatory (if not, I am sure someone will correct me). Nope...they haven't threatened to use them on Isreal, or on the US troops in the region. Nope... that's all make beleive stuff brought to you by the puppets that are the western media.

Let me see if I've got this straight, Iran is threatening to destroy Isreal, attack our troops who by the by are not in their country so Iran would be in reality attacking Iraq and we the American people are the so-called bad guys? Oh yes and the reason I drive a decent car and live in a house that I will own in 30 years is because I don't work 40+ hours a week in a job that is both physically and mentally challenging but rather because I'm stealing from the poor downtrodden. Let me be the first to point out that this post is nothing more than a load of crap larger than the city of Montreal. What, exactly, would you know about U.S. military recruitment, or anything military in general?

I think it's fairly obvious that he/she does not no anything about the military in general, or the US military in particular.

Iran has vowed on a number of occaisions publicly to attack US troops in retaliation to any attack by Isreal, America, or anyone else I would imagine. If we are supposed to believe them when they say other things, I suppose we should believe them on this subject as well, and make suitable plans. Ah never mind...I am sure the plans have already been made, and by people who actually know something about the military.
