A Secret Society...

Hello Friends:

When my Grandfather died at the age of 90 on 11/11/05
at his viewing came this group of 4 persons. (1 lady,3 Males)
They asked me if they could pay their respects, I say yes. Next
thing I know they put this kind of a fabric tied around their weist
with wierd symbols on it and with swords in their hands at each end of my grandfather, one at his head and one at his feet.
After they were done I asked them what was this about, their only
answer was that my granfather was a "Master" at their society.
Was this People from the Masonic or Fremasons and then here in Puerto
Rico?? What do you guys think??

Can you possibly be more descriptive? What did the symbols look like? What colour was the fabric? What did the swords look like? Sorry if I am asking too many questions, but I cannot give you any information without any description of their items.
