I guess I understand this, kind of like banning any Microsoft products from running on computers at Apple inc.

Entire story ----->www.channel3000.com...

DEARBORN, Mich. -- Starting next Wednesday, it's Fords only in the parking lot of the company's truck plant in Dearborn.

The plant manager said the parking lot can be used only by employees who drive a car or truck built by Ford or one of its subsidiaries.

Stupid, IMO, but it's their parking lot and they can do what they want with it. I wouldn't work for a company that did that, though, even if I had a Ford.

I'm surprised that they let anyone drive a non-Ford to begin with. I certainly wouldn't want to be caught with a non-Ford car if I worked with them. That'd be like being a Coke employee and walk into work drinking a Pepsi.

Actually, if I recall correctly, it already is banned at one of those two places to drink the competitor's product.

A local factory here is a sub-contractor for GM. They have two parking lots, one located nearest the entrance/exit for the plant designated for people driving GM products and one farther away designated for "any other" brand of vehicle.

Unfortunately, GM has not renewed any of their contracts to build drivetrains for their vehicles, so the plant is slowly going under as contracts are completed.
