Two women will hear on Wednesday if they have won the right to use their frozen embryos against the will of their former partners.

Earlier in the case, Muiris Lyons, the women's solicitor, said: "The case raises important legal, moral and ethical issues as to the rights of an embryo, its status and position in law, and the competing interests of a woman desperate to become a mother and a man who has no wish to become a father.

"The judge has got to balance a woman's right to become a mother in these circumstances, with a potential father's right not to become a father."

But Ian Mackay, of Families Need Fathers, said: "I can understand the anguish of some of these people who would very much like to have children, but we also must not lose sight of the importance of the children having both parents involved in their life.

"Maybe we are thinking too much of the rights of women to have children, and not sufficiently about the rights of the children."

So, if the embryo has been chilling does that give the father the right to pull out?

Are the women thinking only about themselves?

Does this go back to an abortion theme?

has been hijacked by those who do not have holistic principles...

no, they should not be allowed...

there was even a woman on tv.. complaining about womens ivf rights and she wanted a baby and the eggs were not even hers allthough the sperm was her ex husbands....

im like eh????

if these women want children so badly they should go and adopt one of the millions of orthans out there... instead of just #ing about with nature..

i have no problem with mutual consent test tube babys... but if both partys dont agree on it then thats just stupid...

sure women have the baby, they carry the baby... it doesnt make it just their baby though does it...

every child deserves, and should have 2 equal parrents...

anybody who willingly brings a child onto the earth with only one parrent is selfish...

now im not saying single parrents cannot be good parrents, in some cases they are better than having two parrents..

and im not having a go at say, parrents who are in a rellationship get pregnent but then end up single after a break-up and then have the child...

i understand that cannot be helped...

but this kinda thing shouldnt happen if child birth is'nt taken lightly by some people..
